Rangers are showing 'concrete interest' in Westerlo right back Brian Reynolds and have already contacted the Belgian club over a transfer.
newspaper And Journalist David Van Den Broeck Report on the 24-year-old's possible move today.
Rangers showed solid interest
The journalist has started by reporting that Rangers have shown concrete interest in bringing Brian Reynolds to Ibrox this summer.
According to their information, Danny Rohl's side have contacted Westerlo about a move for the American right-back. He says both Reynolds and Westerlo are ready to transfer. He only has one year left on his current deal with them.
Het Nieuwsblad has a similar report in their report. The newspaper says Rangers are 'looking' at a move for the 24-year-old.
He says Rangers, who previously signed Belgian left-back Ture Romains, are now turning their attention to Reynolds.
Westerlo are open to a deal as Reynolds' current deal expires next summer. They would like to secure 'a few million' for him instead of leaving him on a free transfer next summer. They are aware of Rangers' interest.
The Scottish giants are not the only side who are interested. According to Het Nieuwsblad there is interest from the 'top league'. They do not name those leagues or any clubs in particular.
Rangers need a right-back
Rangers need a replacement for James Tavernier at right-back, who is leaving at the end of his contract this month. Max Aarons is also set to depart after spending the season on loan from Bournemouth.
This leaves a hole on the right side that Danny Rohl and his team will have to fill. And it appears they have their sights set on Brian Reynolds to do just that. 7
TransferMarket currently values him at €3.5 million, so it would be easy to imagine that Westerlo would want that price in any deal. Whether Rangers are happy to pay this remains to be seen but talks are already underway.
