Cade Cunningham took his stance on helping Detroit Pistons teammate Isaiah Stewart with his fine following his recent suspension.
The Pistons received a lot of attention during a viral fight with Charlotte Hornets players on February 9. This resulted in Stewart and Jalen Duren being suspended and fined, along with other players on both teams. The NBA ordered the former player to miss seven consecutive games and the latter to miss four games.
Cunningham participated in All-Star Weekend festivities as he was in attendance for media day. After earning a spot as an All-Star starter, he answered questions as one of them revolved around Stewart's fine. This is where the Star Guard came forward in support of his comrade.
"Would you ever be the one to pay the fine for Isaiah Stewart?" The reporter asked.
Cunningham replied, "I would. He's my brother, man... It's expensive, but he's the guy. I wouldn't trade him for the world."
