Manchester United are reportedly stepping up their background work on Gabriel Veneno, with reports from the UK claiming the club are strongly in the mix for the Atletico Mineiro teenager.
It appears that Manchester United are compiling a scouting report and keeping a close eye on the 16-year-old. To date, there has been nothing concrete yet from Brazil. FIFA rules prohibit him from moving to Europe before he turns 18 and Atlético have tied him to a contract until 2028.

His real name is Joao Gabriel Castro Santos. He was born in 2009 in Bahia. The nickname that now appears in European headlines came from a childhood accident.
"Venono" translates to "poison" in English. And it really fits. On the pitch, he plays with aggression, pace and a kind of infectious energy that makes him stand out quickly at youth level.
