Newcastle United and Chelsea are set to battle AC Milan for Darwin Nunez back to the Premier League.
This is according to TuttomercatowebRelaying information for Gazzetta dello Sport. According to the Italian newspaper, there is a three-way battle on the cards for the former Liverpool striker.
Their information is that AC Milan are targeting Nunez in the summer transfer window.
The Italian club are looking to strengthen their attack at the end of the season, and the Al-Hilal forward is among the players they are pursuing.

The 26-year-old player is under contract with the Saudi Arabian club until June 2028. He joined them from Liverpool in August 2025 for €53m. He has scored nine goals in 24 matches since then, as well as providing five assists.
However, he was recently dropped from his home team following the high-profile arrival of Karim Benzema in February. This came after reports in January indicated that Al-Hilal would approve a loan move for the striker.
Now AC Milan are eyeing a summer move. However, Gazzetta insists that they are not the only interested party. According to his information, Chelsea and Newcastle United are also in the mix. Both sides have had problems with their strikers this season.
Chelsea or Newcastle?
Of the two, Chelsea makes more sense, as reports in England link Liam Delap with an exit this summer. It appears they also have no plans for Nicholas Jackson, who will return from Bayern Munich. Interestingly, he is also on AC Milan's list.
Newcastle are unlikely to spend big on a striker given the purchases of Nick Voltemed and Yoan Wissa in the summer transfer window.
The Magpies paid a significant fee for those signings, and it's hard to see them spending even more money on Nunez.
