UPDATE: After being listed as "doubtful" due to right calf tightness, he has been downgraded to "doubtful" for the contest. The star said during shootaround before Tuesday's game against the Hornets that he was "playing down" the issue.
According to The Miami Herald, Adebayo said, "I'm playing through it. But it got to a point that I had to sit down."
With a tough schedule coming up after the contest in Charlotte, Adebayo may be well served to sit out the games with his calf injury and prepare for the challenge of the games ahead. Spoelstra talked about being "responsible" for Adebayo's injury.
"We want to make sure he's feeling good. So we'll be responsible for that. He'll continue to get treatment around the clock. If he's not able to go, Kel'El will step in there and then other guys will obviously have to step up," Spoelstra said.
The Heat's injury report includes several additional names. Terry Rozier and Andrew Wiggins are out, while Nikola Jovic and Pelle Larsson are listed as probable. Tyler Herro, Jaime Jacquez Jr., Kaspars Jakuccionis, Drew Smith and Kel'El Ware are all available despite minor injuries.
For Charlotte, the Hornets' injury report lists PJ Hall, Antonio Reeves and Tidjane Salaun out.
