30% Manchester City clause looks wise – Blues could soon cash in big time

So far this season, the Argentinian has made 27 Serie A appearances totaling over 2000 minutes. He also has two goals and four assists, with Como currently in the Champions League spot. The youngster has impressed with his ability to dictate play from deep.

After a good initial loan spell, Perron joined the lakeside club permanently from Manchester City in the summer.

The 23-year-old's performances are attracting a lot of attention now and will help the Nationals in the future.

Manchester City has a big sell-on clause

There are also doubts about David Fratesi, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan also at his best.

Perón is therefore seen as an effective way to restructure the midfield and reduce its average age.

Problems are likely to arise in Como regarding a deal. A major reason for this is Manchester City's 30% sell-on clause, with Cesc Fabregas' side demanding a high fee for the midfielder.

Perron was signed for just €13 million in the summer and his value has now at least doubled.

Only a significant offer would break Como's resistance and they are no strangers to demanding hefty fees anyway.

Napoli are also keen on a player who could be the subject of widespread interest in the summer.

The deal was a success for Manchester City

Everything shows that Guardiola's team did an excellent job with Maximo Peron. They loaned him out to clubs that helped his development and felt it was the right opportunity to let him go.

If a club pays €40m for the Argentine, Manchester City could now make around €9m from the deal. That's pretty good money for a player who doesn't even play for them. Furthermore, Perron made only two senior appearances for the Nationals.

That – in itself, is a good indication of the work done. Italian teams generally do not pay permanent fees to other clubs in Serie A. It would not be a surprise if Inter or Napoli make an initial loan attempt, but Manchester City hope the suitors will make a permanent offer soon.

What's even better is that Peron's value will increase further until 2027, and Manchester City will then get a larger share.
