Borussia Dortmund's Daniel Svensson has been asked about the interest shown by a number of clubs including Arsenal and Leeds United.
The Sweden international initially moved to BVB on loan from FC Nordsjælland in February 2025. The Bundesliga side made his stay permanent by using the buyout clause later that year.
Prior to his permanent transfer to Borussia Dortmund, Nottingham Forest had shown serious interest. Fast forward to 2026 and Arsenal and Leeds United have emerged as their new suitors from England.
At the German club, he primarily operates as a left wing-back and has scored six goals and six assists in 60 appearances. This includes four goals and two assists in 39 matches this season.
His Bundesliga statistics per game for this season are as follows:

Arsenal and Leeds United respond to links
Last month, Sports Witness Covered claims from Germany That both Arsenal and Daniel Farke are pursuing him. Bild said that Leeds United are particularly keen to acquire his services in the summer.
Daniel Svensson is currently with Sweden for the ongoing international break, and it delivered soccer channel Opportunity to interact with him. Last week, he came off the bench in Sweden's 3–1 win over Ukraine in a World Cup qualifier.

As things stand, he doesn't want to change clubs after this season.
"No, I wouldn't say that. I'm really happy at Dortmund. I haven't been there that long. I feel like I have a lot more to do there. I'm really happy to be there." He said.
Expressen recently said that Real Madrid scouts had seen him playing for Borussia Dortmund, but he was not aware of it.
"To be honest, I haven't heard anything about it. I don't have anything to say about it. Because I don't know anything about it. It's not something I'm thinking about. But obviously it's fun." Swenson explained.

"I'm just focused on Dortmund. I'm right there and I'm really enjoying it. It's not something I pay any attention to. We have important games left in the season." He added.
