Former New York Giants All-Pro defender wants to play for John Harbaugh

The New York Giants have a new head coach, and suddenly, everyone wants to get back on the team and play for the widely respected John Harbaugh. First, it was Odell Beckham Jr., who used his recent performance in the Fanatics Flag Football Classic to campaign for a return to New York and the opportunity to catch passes from Jackson Dart.

Now, another former Giants great is singing a similar tune, though unlike OBJ, he didn't play in a flag football event, and he doesn't play offense either. But he still wants to play for the Giants again.

Notably, on Tuesday, pass-rusher Jason Pierre-Paul took to social media to campaign for his return to New York.

"@nygients I'm still available and ready to run some OT and dominate the Giants way in run-stop football. Let's make it happen, Giants fans, Giants Nation let's go!! I know, I know, I know."

Pierre-Paul being available at this stage of the offseason isn't really a surprise. The 37-year-old played in just three games for the Buccaneers last season, recording one pass deflection and no other statistics. In 2024, he is out of the NFL altogether.

In other words, don't expect the Giants to be knocking on JPP's door any time soon, but we believe it wouldn't hurt to give the franchise icon a workout. Pierre-Paul has won two Super Bowls in his career: one with the Giants and the other with the Buccaneers. He also racked up 94.5 sacks in the process, but simply due to his age, we don't expect him to get a chance to add to that total.
