Wolves are covering €400,000-a-month wages for Angel Gomes during his loan deal at Molineux.
L'Equipe reports on the arrangement today As they reveal the annual salaries for each club in Ligue 1. As part of that, the payment made by Wolves to Marseille for Gomes has come to light.
The newspaper points out that Marseille currently have the second-highest wage bill in Ligue 1 behind Paris Saint-Germain. This figure is slightly lower due to the lack of taxes in AS Monaco.

Either way, Marseille are going to be big spenders in that department, with the current spend being the biggest in their history.
This is because some players signed on free transfers were offered huge sums of money to move to Marseille in the first place.
The average gross monthly salary in the team is now around €300,000, with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg topping the charts with €500,000.
A free transfer from Lille, Gomes is also one of the top earners. He is on €400,000 per month, almost three times as much as before. He received the award of being a free agent.

He is now on loan at Wolves And they are covering that entire figure including the bonus during the deal.
Wolves will therefore pay around €2.4m in wages to loan the 25-year-old until the end of the season. They have also already paid €1m for the loan deal.
The deal also includes an option to buy, although it is unlikely to be exercised if they are relegated from the Premier League as expected.
That's a lot of money, especially for a team that made massive squad cuts in the January transfer window and brought costs in line ahead of relegation.
Surprisingly, Wolves agreed to pay his wages and bonuses in full. This is not common with loan deals, where such costs are usually split between the two clubs.
Given that Gomes has only managed seven appearances and 287 minutes since arriving, this is a deal that benefits Marseille more.
