At the end of August 2023, Nottingham Forest invested approximately €4.9m to sign him from Benfica.
The goalkeeper arrived at the City Ground after spending five years at the Portuguese club.
He played 225 matches, keeping 94 clean sheets and conceding 217 goals, and won two titles with Benfica.
Later that year, the Greece international said he made the right decision to leave Lisbon for the Reds.

Odysseus Vlachodimos played 660 minutes in seven matches for Nottingham Forest and made five league appearances under Cooper. They conceded 16 goals and kept only one clean sheet.
Nuno Espirito Santo replaced Cooper in December 2023 and did not consider the stopper in the Premier League. In fact, they dropped him from the team for the last 14 league matches.
The Reds sold him to Newcastle United in July 2024, and he struggled for minutes at St James' Park.
Therefore, the Magpies let him join Sevilla on a season-long loan deal in August 2025. The transfer went very well, but the Spanish club cannot make a permanent deal.
