Sebastian Kiehl is set to play a role in Tottenham Hotspur From next season, as he considers his next move.
BILD reports today on the former director of Borussia Dortmund. The 46-year-old appears to be open to the idea of a move to Tottenham this summer.
Throat in high demand
Sebastian Kehl is in 'high demand' after leaving Borussia Dortmund last month, the newspaper reports. In fact, he is already being eyed by Tottenham Hotspur.
Reports have made it clear that Kehl is at the top of the list of top candidates currently being considered by Tottenham to replace Fabio Paratici. The Italian departed to join Fiorentina in January.
According to a report this week, Kiehl, considering his options As he contemplates his future. BILD says this is likely happening while he enjoys a short vacation in Scandinavia to 'clear his head'.
But the perception is that the former Borussia Dortmund midfielder is 'open' to taking up the position of sporting director at a 'famous' club like Tottenham. He would like to do so as soon as the new season begins. This, at least, is positive news for Tottenham.

The bad news is that a severance package will have to be worked out with Borussia Dortmund first.
Sebastian Kehl's contract with them runs until 2027. This includes a transfer fee worth around €2.5m for him. Therefore there will have to be discussion on that.
But a quick return to work will play into Borussia's hands, as it will help them reduce severance payments to their former director. In other words, he would be happy to talk to Tottenham and work out something.
This will show that there is a deal to be made. And with Kahl on board with the idea, it is now time for Tottenham to make their move. Or, at least once he has completed his trip to Scandinavia.
