Kathryn Legge will get back behind the wheel of a NASCAR Cup Series ride, and take a seat in the No. 78 car with Live Fast Motorsports on Mother's Day weekend at Watkins Glen International.

As reported by JaySki.com, Legg is partnering with Live Fast Motorsports and Cosmetics Chevrolet to race the No. 78 car at Go Bowling at The Glen on Sunday. It will be his first Cup Series race since the South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in October.

Legge, age 45, made his Cup Series debut in the 2025 Shriners Children's 500 last March. While she ultimately finished 30th, Live Fast Motorsports and NASCAR received some criticism for giving Phoenix her first race in a Next Gen car.

Why is Watkins Glen a good fit for Katherine Legge?

Legge's return behind the wheel in the Cup Series at Watkins Glen International seems like a perfect fit. He has years of experience racing on road courses, including this track.

She drove the No. 78 car there for LFM last year and handled herself well in the Chicago street race and finished 19th. He has also made 10 career starts in his racing career, including a GTD win with Andy Lally at the Six Hours of the Glen in 2017.

Given the improvement he showed as he gained more experience in the Cup Series, this should prove to be a good move for LFM. Although the No. 78 car will be nowhere close to challenging for the win, there is at least a chance that Legge will record the third top-25 finish of his Cup Series career.
