Matias Fernandez Pard is having the best year of his career so far. He was named in the Ligue 1 Team of the Season thanks to eight goals and five assists and was also a regular in the Europa League.
The 21-year-old player is also being seriously considered by Spain, who want to pounce on him ahead of other countries.
Cesc Fabregas' Como are interested in him and have been eyeing a deal for some time. His versatility to play as a winger, false nine or even as a second striker has made him a perfect fit for Fàbregas' fluid style.
But he has also attracted the attention of big clubs. Manchester City, 'always keen for talent', already have him in their sights. Inter Milan are also aware of him as they look to strengthen after their title success.
There is no mention of any of those three parties doing anything other than watching the player's performance at this time.
€30m valuation
There is also no mention of the asking price. Matias Fernandez Pardo cost Lille €11.5m in 2024 but is currently valued at €30m. His current deal also runs until 2029, so the French side are under no pressure on that front either.
Of course, €30m would be no big deal for Manchester City. This is a fee that they can spend without worrying too much. And they could be looking for a forward this summer if players like Omar Marmoush leave.
There is also Jack Grealish to consider. Fernandez Pardo could be an ideal additional player if he does not return as expected. For now, it appears he is just a name on the list to keep an eye on.
