Last week, the English club parted ways with Rob Edwards and his coaching staff.
Wolves said they made the move after evaluating their relegation from the Premier League. Many fans, and reportedly some players, are not entirely convinced that this is the right decision.
Interest in Peixoto did not emerge until after the end of season review. Last week, Sports Witness Covered claims from Portugal Wolves have been working on his recruitment for the past month.
Jorge Mendes represents both him and Jose Mourinho, who returned to Real Madrid. The super-agent was working on Peixoto's move to Spain and this delayed Peixoto's arrival at the English club.

In the report, the newspaper says the campaign to take him to Molineux reached its final stages over the weekend. If there are no last-minute surprises, Gil Vicente could announce his exit today.
The Record claim the Portuguese manager has a release clause of €1-1.5m, and Wolves will trigger it to secure his services.
Faced with the prospect of losing the 46-year-old, the Primeira Liga has identified Luis Pinto as his successor.
Another Portuguese newspaper, to ballIt also suggests that Peixoto's move to an English club is in the final stages. Pinto will replace him at the Portuguese club.
Bola state Gil Vicente has agreed a deal to move Peixoto to Molineux and appoint his successor. His plan is to announce the current manager's transfer to Wolves and immediately confirm Pinto's appointment.
