Evan Mobley's injury status vs. Hornets
When it comes to the question of whether Evan Mobley is playing tonight against the Hornets, the answer is no.
In his first game after suffering a second left calf injury, Mobley produced 10 points, nine rebounds, two assists and one block in 19 minutes of action. This was the first game he played with Cleveland's new players. Cavs head coach Kenny Atkinson thought he was showing signs of rust in his opener on Thursday, then he found out.
Atkinson said, "I thought his second term was better, a little more improvement." "The defense was better, but you know how it is. He's obviously on a minutes restriction. So it wasn't easy for him to get into the flow."
“It was nice to get back out there and play with some new guys, build relationships with them, grow that relationship,” Mobley said. "I think it's a good first game... I think we have a great team. A lot of new guys coming in, a whole new team, but I think everybody is performing very well. Everybody is performing very well.
