Kasper Schmeichel has been Celtic's No.1 since arriving at Celtic Park on a free transfer in July 2024. His role has not been affected by recent managerial changes and he is first choice for Martin O'Neill.
The Denmark international has kept 14 clean sheets and conceded 47 goals in 38 appearances in all competitions for Celtic this season.
He conceded 19 goals in nine Europa League appearances and four of the goals were in Celtic's defeat to VfB Stuttgart. The 39-year-old was criticized by a section of the Scottish club's supporters following Thursday's European defeat at Celtic Park.

Denmark will face North Macedonia in the World Cup playoffs in March. The question is whether manager Brian Reimer will start Schmeichel as his role has already been debated.
The Celtic man has been Denmark's main goalkeeper for many years. Chelsea's Philip Jorgensen and West Ham United's Mads Hermansen have been supporters of his in recent years.

Reimer likely to be starting Celtic player
