Juventus are not interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario in the summer transfer window.
This is according to journalist Luca Momblano, Via Blasting News. He insists that reports linking the Tottenham number one to a move to Juventus are widespread.
Vicario appears to be determined to leave Tottenham this summer and return to his homeland in some capacity. Sport Witness has covered various reports from Italy regarding his desire to switch.
Inter Milan long-time admirers have come up with a plan as they eye a replacement for Yann Sommer this season. Reports late last month brought Juventus into the mix.
Dual sources refute Tottenham's claims
They're also eyeing a new number for the summer. As a result, they have Reports have already been made about a move. The Tottenham goalkeeper is reportedly on their list alongside players like Alisson Becker.
This potentially gives Tottenham another option to move back to Italy this summer. However, Momblano insists there is no such interest from Juventus. He says that this has also been confirmed by the player's agents.
"I was very surprised by the article published in a famous newspaper today," he said on his Twitch showing Juventus.
“Because from what I can read, it puts Vicario as the first-choice goalkeeper for Juventus, almost in pole position for next summer.
"I have a completely opposite reaction. As far as I understand, and I have contacted not only Juventus but also the people who manage the goalkeeper's profile, Juventus have never approached the current Tottenham goalkeeper.
"Plus, Vicario himself has never heard anything about possible interest from the old lady. For all these reasons, I was surprised by what I read today. Not only do I not have Vicario in the top five goalkeepers for June, but I don't even have him in the top seven."
This may be the case where it becomes immediately apparent that the transfer was very difficult and that everyone involved is in denial that anything of the sort happened.
