In addition to breaking Wilt Chamberlain's record for most consecutive 20+ point games in NBA history, Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander accomplished another feat that only one player has accomplished. After joining Chamberlain in a special group, Gilgeous-Alexander joined Los Angeles Lakers All-Star LeBron James during the same game – a 129-126 win against MVP candidate Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets.
Gilgeous-Alexander, who scored back-to-back threes between the Thunder's final two possessions, including a game-winner, finished with 35 points, 15 assists and zero turnovers in Monday's win against the Nuggets. Gilgeous-Alexander joins James as the only two players in NBA history to finish a game with 35+ points, 15+ assists and zero turnovers.
James finished 2018 with 35 points, 17 assists and zero turnovers in a 132–129 win against the Toronto Raptors. He became the first NBA player to do so at the time, and now, he has company.
Gilgeous-Alexander equaled Chamberlain's 63-year-old record, leading the Thunder to a three-point win against their rivals in the Nuggets, whom the defending champions defeated 4-3 in the Western Conference semi-finals last season. The Thunder also handed the Nuggets their second loss in 10 days, following a classic 127-121 overtime thriller.

For Thunder All-Star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, it's important to focus on winning rather than focusing on breaking a 63-year-old record to accomplish such a rare feat in NBA history. Then, if that wasn't enough for Thunder fans, Gilgeous-Alexander's game-winning three on the Nuggets sealed an unforgettable night at Paycom Center.

Gilgeous-Alexander said after the win, "It still lingers in my mind. To be honest, I try not to think about it, especially during the season. There's a lot going on. A lot of things have to go right to get what you want ultimately." "That's my 100 percent focus, especially in a basketball context. It's special to interact with a guy like that (Wilt Chamberlain).
"It's crazy to think that where I was 10 years ago, I would be here today. You work hard. You trust the process. You look up, and great things can happen to you, and I'm proof of that."
