After the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder were unable to visit the White House due to a "timing issue", a fight broke out between Ajay Mitchell and Justin Champagne in the first half of the match against the Washington Wizards. Words were exchanged between the Thunder's Jaylin Williams and Champagnie before Mitchell advanced and the two began brawling on the baseline and in the stands.

Wallace, earning a double-technical foul, as Williams, Mitchell and Champagnie, joined the trio as all four were ejected from the game.
