The Los Angeles Lakers have appealed Luka Doncic's 16th technical foul following an exchange with the Orlando Magic's Gogo Bitadze during their 105-104 win, according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin. Luca's technical foul occurred when he was assessed a double technical for continuously taunting both players.
If the call is upheld, Doncic will face a one-game suspension against the Detroit Pistons. This could interrupt the Lakers' nine-game winning streak at a critical moment.
Luka Doncic admitted disappointment but said Gogo Bitadze had crossed a line. Meanwhile, the Lakers argue that a warning should have come earlier, although officials say a warning had already been issued.
Despite all this, Doncic finished with 33 points and eight assists against the Magic.
