Fulham's Kelvin Bassey will miss Nigeria's matches this month after suffering a concussion.
The centre-back will return to London to work on his recovery with the Premier League team.
Fulham signed him from Ajax for €21m in July 2023 and he has been a regular since then.
The 26-year-old has made 94 appearances for Marco Silva's side so far and logged 2,018 minutes across 25 matches this season.
Bassi's statistics per game from the Premier League are as follows:
- Intercept: 0.7
- Tackle: 2.0
- Clearance: 3.5
- Ball recovered: 4.0
- Dribbled past: 0.3
- Duel won: 4.9
The player has been a regular for the national team since moving to Fulham and has been called up by Nigeria manager Eric Chele for the current international break.
Lack of clarity over Fulham man's injury

Fulham's next match is against Liverpool at Anfield on April 11 and Silva is hopeful the Nigerian will be fit for the clash.
Bassi also needs to regain fitness soon if he wants to make a move in the summer. At the start of the season, his club teammates, Kenny Tete said Fulham is not his final destination.
