Yesterday was a dark day for the New Jersey Devils. After players learned of Tom Fitzgerald's fate the first time they stepped on the ice, they reacted to the fate of the now former Devils general manager. No one was pleased, and everyone had nothing but good things to say about Fitzgerald.
As a person, he was a kind, genuine human being. However, as a GM he did not come without flaws.
And then, that night the devils were officially destroyed. Now, there are four games left on the schedule before the team breaks up for the offseason.
