A projected top 10 selection who would be a great replacement option for AJ Brown could fall right into the Philadelphia Eagles' lap when they are on the clock in Round 1 of the NFL Draft.
One of the biggest storylines this offseason has been on the future of AJ Brown. Last season, the three-time Pro Bowler made no secret of his frustration with the team and how he was used in the offense. This led to obvious speculation that once the season ended, he could go on the trade block.
However, as we approach the end of April, Brown remains in Philadelphia. Most believe a trade hasn't happened yet because it would cost Philadelphia far more in dead cap to move him before June 1. Assuming he is traded in a few months, it would make sense for the Eagles to find his replacement with a top pick in next week's draft.
Philadelphia makes its pick at 23 in Round 1. This puts him outside the range of top wide receiver prospects in this year's class. Or maybe not. Arizona State star Jordan Tyson has the widest selection range and floor among pass catchers this year, according to ESPN NFL expert Matt Miller.

Miller wrote, "He missed 17 of the possible 51 games in which he could have played. Tyson's most recent injury was a hamstring injury that has caused him to miss three games in 2025." “Teams will have varying levels of acceptance with injuries, but because of this, Tyson is limited all over the place — and eight concussions heading into the 2024 season haven't helped his stock either.
"If injury concerns prove valid he could come off the board early at No. 8 to the Saints or slip to No. 33 to the Jets."
A few weeks ago, Tyson was in the news as the best pass catcher in this year's draft. However, as teams get deeper into their evaluation process, his injuries are becoming a major issue. This makes him risky for the Eagles. But when he's healthy, he's extremely talented.
Tyson is a strong route runner, has size at 6 feet 2 inches and weighs over 200 pounds, has impressive upside to go up and receive passes, and is a great blocker for a receiver. In 2024, he posted 75 catches for 1,101 yards, 10 touchdowns and a 14.7 yards per catch average.
