Hertha BSC have 'recently' contacted Birmingham City striker Marvin Dakhsh about a return to Germany this summer.
BILD reports that the 2. Bundesliga side The 32-year-old man has reportedly been questioned and has spoken to his agents.

The newspaper points out that RTL/NTV initially reported that the Berlin club had made an inquiry about the Birmingham striker. According to information from BILD, the German club has recently contacted representatives of Dachshund.
Their understanding is that Daksch was already a target of Hertha this season. It remains to be seen whether the transfer can take place this summer.
The striker has ten goals for Birmingham City this season and is under contract until 2028, but according to BILD, he could leave St Andrews this summer for 'a small transfer fee'. He cost the Blues €2 million last summer, so perhaps this is the fee being considered.
Hertha would like him to help them get back to the Bundesliga. They sit third this season, but are one point behind second-place SV Elversberg, and level on points with fourth-place Paderborn.

Even if they get promotion, he could still be the goalscorer they need next season. If it's another promotion race, he has experience in that too.
Dakash achieved the feat with Werder Bremen in the 2021/22 season. The striker scored 20 goals that season. Hertha would be open to a long-term partnership despite the 32-year-old.
