Feyenoord needs Liverpool's coach
They report that Giovanni van Bronckhorst is 'clearly being considered' to fill the position left by the departure of Szak Troost. The Dutch club believe he will add 'football expertise' to the supervisory body.
Troost resigned in February and has not been replaced since. The former defender had served as a commissioner on the board for seven years. Now there is a fifth seat that needs to be filled and the Liverpool coach is on the list.
Van Bronckhorst has also been linked with a potential technical role at the club. That remains a possibility, but it would likely be a position as a Technical Manager supporting the Technical Director. However, he has not been appointed yet.
According to club insiders, Van Bronckhorst wants a role away from the 'daily spotlight'. He would prefer to work in the background. Both roles, technical advisory or supervisory board, will allow him to do so.

However, he would like clarity on the club's future plans and sporting direction before taking up the position. Perhaps they will be made clear during any talks that are yet to take place.
However, the fact that he is willing to negotiate has opened the door for Feyenoord. They are considering their former star for a number of positions, with it seemingly likely that the same will happen with the Liverpool coach soon.
