Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl has confirmed he has held talks with Anthony Gordon over a move newcastle united in this summer.

Reports over the past few weeks have made it clear that Bayern Munich are keen to sign Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United this summer.
The German giants are keen to add a forward to Vincent Kompany's squad and are reportedly eyeing Newcastle as an additional consideration.
It is clear from the reports that talks have been held with Gordon's representatives. The 25-year-old is keen on a move to Munich. The problem at the moment is that Newcastle are demanding around €86 million for the transfer.
Now, Eberle has been questioned over a possible move. And they have not only confirmed talks with Gordon, but also stated their intention to sign the forward.
"We agreed that if an aggressive player could be financed we would sign him," he said.
When asked if Gordon wanted to join Bayern, he explained: "We had a very good conversation and hopefully we can make progress."

That reassuring tone from Eberle about Anthony Gordon is Bayern Munich's latest indication that they believe they can do a deal this summer.

After talking to the player and his teammates, perhaps Eberle's confidence comes from here. The biggest hurdle at this point certainly appears to be Newcastle and their asking price.
But it's possible that Bayern has a plan for that. They definitely don't want to pay the current asking price. And with Newcastle missing out on Europe, it's unlikely they will need to.
