Hull's busy summer transfer window
Hull are expected to be extremely busy throughout the summer as they reshape their squad for life in the Premier League.
Having reached the playoffs surprisingly, to say the least, Sergej Zakirovic and his team are already behind Coventry City and Ipswich Town in terms of planning.
Both of these sides have also been pushing for the Premier League for some time, while Hull were only planning a mid-table finish in the Championship this season.
Zakirovic has already admitted that he wants 12-15 signatures To strengthen your squad. He will be looking to emulate Sunderland's busy summer, which ended with them relegating them to European football next season.
His success came from smart scouting across Europe, and Zakirovic believes he can take a look at the SHNL, a league he knows well.
“Of course, I'm looking,” he said.
“There are players in our league who are interesting to us, but we still have to see what their price will be and whether we will have players in their place who might be more acceptable to us.”
two targets designated
Reports last summer had already linked Hull with Arbor Hoxha at Dinamo Zagreb and Rijeka's Toni Fruk. The Hull manager is willing to look at both of them again, believing they are ready for the Premier League.
He said, "It's true, Hoxha was our target, but because of the embargo we couldn't compensate and Dinamo didn't want to let him go."
"I also wanted to bring (Rokas) Puktas from Hajduk and Fruk from Rijeka, but you won't be able to do that if you don't pay compensation. These are all players who will be strong for us in the championship."
When asked if he could be Premier League reinforcements, he concluded, "I think so, they are great players."
"I know Hoxha well at Dinamo, Puktas has great instincts, Fruk is fantastic in finals. They will all definitely be part of our analysis and discussion, but it is too early to draw any conclusions. We need to see how much money we will have available and who we will be in a position to bring in."
"Those I have listed can definitely (play in the Premier League). Otherwise, why doubt the quality of the players who dominate our league? People with genuine ambition always find their way."
