Reports earlier this summer indicated that Lucas Bergvall wants to leave Tottenham this summer.
According to various reports, the 20-year-old has decided to leave Spurs and has already informed the club of his desire to secure a move.
This allowed the reports to be followed up Premier League contenders named throughout this week. Chelsea, Nottingham Forest and Newcastle have all been linked with a move. Same is the case with Borussia Dortmund.
Tottenham are reportedly looking for €45m to sell the midfielder this summer. And if they can achieve such a figure, Djurgården will celebrate. They have retained a clause from the original deal to sell the young player to Tottenham which would give them more money from any sale.

Football Direct makes no mention of the specifics of that section. But they report that the Swedish side will make around 50 million kroner from a €45m sale. This works out to approximately €4.52 million. So, this segment appears to be 10% of any transfer.
When they sold Bergvall to Spurs in 2024 they had already received €20m from Tottenham. Therefore, if he is on the move again this summer the deal could be attractive.
The focus now turns to whether Lucas Bergvall actually leaves Spurs this summer. Few people would have predicted him doing this a few months ago.
But it appears Roberto De Zerbi is determined to overhaul his midfield with a string of big-name signings this summer. Newcastle star Sandro Tonali has already been targeted in a €100m deal. He may not be the only arrival.
This may cause Bergvall to struggle for playing time next season. Maybe that's why he now wants to stay out in the coming weeks.
