Tottenham Hotspur are 'not out of the running' for Bundesliga star Saeed El Malah yet, but they have yet to make a concrete move for him.

The winger is currently training on his own ahead of pre-season as he looks to build on an impressive debut campaign in the Bundesliga with Europe paying close attention to his development.
He was expected to move in a €50 million move this summer, but that has not happened yet. Brentford thought they had secured his signature only for his agent, his mother Sabrina, to cancel the deal at the last minute. Since then, there have been no new developments according to Sportbild.
The Premier League remains a possible destination, but no one has stepped forward yet. This is despite recruitment chief Tim Steadten having excellent contacts in England.
Tottenham remain an option and are not 'out of the running' yet. But at present no concrete progress has been made from their side. Roberto De Zerbi's side are instead focusing their efforts on other areas of their team.
Cologne want €50m
Sport Witness covered a report last month This suggests that Tottenham could soon make a move for Said El Mala. But it seems that this is yet to happen.
All this is playing into the hands of Cologne. They would be happy to keep the winger for another year and, despite an offer of €50m, will have no need to sell him this summer.
At this point, they are counting on the young player to be a part of their team next season. This is further proof that the hassle of transfer is soon over.
Of course, with summer still here, there's still plenty of time for that to change. But right now, Cologne is waiting for Tottenham or other suitors to do something.
