East crystal Palace Attacker Jordan Ayew has praised Daniel Munoz ahead of this morning's World Cup rematch between Colombia and Ghana.
The two players shared a dressing room at Selhurst Park, where Ayew also played with Jefferson Lerma before leaving Palace.
Munoz had already spoken warmly of AyewMaking it clear that the Ghana forward had helped him at Crystal Palace. Now Ayyu has also done the same.
Speaking at a press conference covered by Infobay ColombiaAyew was asked about facing Munoz and Lerma.
"The truth is that I really enjoyed playing with them. They are very nice people, top-level players and good friends." He said.
"I haven't seen him for a while, but tomorrow, not before the game, but after, we'll definitely have a good chat."
Ayew supports Ghana under pressure
Jordan Ayew also stressed that Ghana would not be affected by Colombia's elevated status. Colombia are 11th and Ghana 65th in the FIFA rankings, but Ayew dismissed the difference.
"In football, I think every game starts from zero, on equal terms," He said. “What I can guarantee is that we will make Africa and Ghana proud.”
Ayew also said that Ghana's players can respond well to pressure.
“I'm pretty sure that's one of our specialties, because I believe the boys will flourish under pressure.” He added.
The Ghana forward recalled the country's victory in the 2010 World Cup quarter-finals and said the match could help bring joy back to the country.
