Fotomac reported that Galatasaray have already started their transfer preparations for next season. The plan is to strengthen their defence, and Virgil van Dijk is the star name they want.
The Liverpool centre-back would be a replacement for one of the two current options, Davinson Sanchez and Abdulkerim Bardaki.
The 34-year-old is a dream signing for President Dersun Ozbek, and there is belief a deal can be done. Van Dijk has one year left on his deal at Anfield and will consider his options if he risks losing his place in Arne Slott’s team next season.

In a summer where Liverpool are losing Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson, while Alisson could also leave, it would be a big decision to let Virgil van Dijk go as well.
The whole idea is also based on the theory that Van Dijk could lose his place next season. Even at 34, this is not possible unless massive changes occur.
This does not mean that it is not possible by any means. But we would urge caution for now about any such transfers actually happening.
