Sunderland’s Brian Brobby performed brilliantly for the Premier League side at the weekend and scored the winner against Newcastle United.
The Black Cats came from behind to record a 2-1 league win over Newcastle United in a heated derby at St James’ Park.
Chelsea Talby’s 57th-minute goal had canceled out Newcastle United’s 10th-minute opener from Anthony Gordon.
Brobby’s 90th-minute goal saw Regis Le Bris’s side leave Magpies Stadium with three points.
Last summer, the striker came to the Stadium of Light from Ajax for around €20m and had a slow start to the season. He waited until December for his first start and hasn’t looked back since.
The 24-year-old has six goals and one assist in 24 league matches so far this season. His form has earned him a return to Ronald Koeman’s side for the first time since March 2025.
