Is Herro playing tonight after Bam’s 83-point game? heat vs bucks injury report

The Miami Heat host the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday night at the Kasia Center in Miami. The Heat come into this game coming off of six consecutive wins, the latest being a huge 150-129 win that included a spectacular 83-point performance from Bam Adebayo.

Herro missed the last game due to a left quadriceps injury and once again found himself on the official injury report. However, Herro is hardly the only player the Heat will likely miss.

Rookie big man Kel’El Ware is questionable with a right shoulder strain, Nikola Jovic (lower back injury management), Norman Powell (right groin strain) and Andrew Wiggins (left toe sesamoiditis) are out with injuries. Terry Rozier is away from the team while Pelle Larsson is available despite left hip tightness.

For the Bucks, Kevin Porter Jr. is listed as questionable due to right knee synovitis, while Bobby Portis is also questionable due to a thoracic spine injury in his back. Center Jericho Sims is tagged questionable with right patella tendonitis, while Alex Antetokounmpo and Cormac Ryan are both out during G League two-way assignments.

Herro’s availability after missing the last game as a precaution will be a game time decision. Herro has suffered several injury-related absences this season, but has been a vital offensive engine for Miami when available.

He averaged 22.1 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game, while shooting an impressive 50.0% from the field and 40.2% from three-point range. However, injuries have limited Herro to just 20 games this season, and fans will be hoping that doesn’t prove to be the case.

Nonetheless, Miami comes into this game as a clear favorite. The Bucks currently rank 25th in the NBA in defensive rating, while also being near the bottom in the league in defending the three-point line.

Milwaukee allows the 29th most three-pointers made per game and ranks 28th in opponent three-point percentage, and Herro could have a field day if he ends up playing. The Bucks arrive in Miami coming off a 129-114 loss to the Phoenix Suns earlier this week. They are currently 27-37 for the season and will look to Giannis Antetokounmpo to set the pace once again.

Lou Williams sent a message to Kobe Bryant after Bam’s 83-point game

Bam Adebayo took the NBA world by storm by scoring 83 points against the Washington Wizards, which is now the second most points ever recorded in a single game. He’s now in the history books between Wilt Chamberlain and Kobe Bryant, and that’s something no one can take away from him.

There are still people who will try to discredit what he did, and that’s been happening a lot since he made history. One reason for this is that he surpassed Bryant, and some people think it is outrageous that he broke his record, especially the way he did it.

Lou Williams, who had the chance to play with and against Bryant, had a message for those who are complaining about Adebayo’s historic night.

“If you’re a true Kobe Bryant fan, and you respect Kobe Bryant, you know that Kobe Bryant constantly hunted records and history, and he wanted those things,” Williams said on the Run It Back show. “That’s what we sign up for. We sign up to be competitive, that’s who we are. So if you really respect Kobe Bryant, you know he has a Mamba mentality. I promise you, he was going to get those 100 points; he wasn’t thinking about Wilt Chamberlain. He was thinking about getting a record. That’s who he was as a competitor.

“For anyone watching this, it’s just disrespectful to Kobe Bryant, who just has a history of being revisionist. That guy wanted to take everybody’s head off. So if you respect him, cherish him, and love him the way you do, know that he would have hunted anybody down.”

Bryant was definitely the ultimate competitor, and he was going to do anything to win. That’s why Williams thinks people shouldn’t complain about Adebayo, because Bryant would have done the same if he had the chance.
