Naturally, Gilgeous-Alexander has one of the best looking signature sneakers in the game at the moment, turning heads with the recent release of his Converse SHAI 001. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander took the road less traveled when joining Converse Basketball in 2020. In addition to becoming the new face of Converse Basketball (a subgroup of Nike), Sga also earned the title of Creative Director for their basketball line. It has also opened the door to past and future lifestyle ventures including everyday sneakers and apparel.

Typically, we have only seen the SHAI 001 in monochromatic colors, with every facet and panel matching a uniform color. Here, we see a pattern on the shoe for the first time, which is an exciting indicator of what the future may hold for future concepts.

Conversation SHAI 001 ‘Camo’

During the 2026 All-Star Weekend, Gilgeous-Alexander was seen rocking an unreleased colorway of his signature SHAI 001 along with a camo outfit with sneakers. The shoe comes dressed in a classic camouflage mix of military green, black, gray and brown. The primary color is Light Military Green across the midsole, outsole, back heel, sockliner and mesh upper below the zipper.

Although there is no information on an official release date, multiple outlets are reporting a time frame during the spring of 2026, potentially set for April 3. The shoes are expected to follow previous releases and come with a standard $130 retail tag, available through select Converse platforms and Nike SNKRS.
