In the last few months, sports witness are keeping an eye on Ivan Ferguson’s loan at AS Roma and the general struggles of the Brighton player.

Amidst all this, Ferguson was struggling with fitness. There was resentment at Roma for playing for Ireland despite injury and then for allegedly being overweight.

Soon, he lost his starting spot and then an ankle injury kept him out of action. Those concerns still remain, with Ferguson returning to Brighton to seek counselling. There was also a possibility of surgery but there is still uncertainty about his medical condition.

For this he took the help of Brighton and went to England. But it did not yield any concrete results. That’s why Ferguson will have a new counseling session in the next few days and is considering surgery.

It is looking increasingly likely that the 21-year-old will miss a game for Roma before the end of the season.
