Towns was the game’s leading scorer against the Wizards. He made nine of his 13 shots in the game, and he made all seven free throws.

Jalen Brunson was also not far behind, scoring 23 points in the win. He also had four assists and one steal. Josh Hart and Mikal Bridges scored 16 and 14 points, respectively.

There are 10 games left in the 2025-26 NBA season. The Knicks will host the New Orleans Pelicans before a four-game road trip. They will play the Charlotte Hornets, Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Texans and Memphis Grizzlies before returning home to host the Chicago Bulls on April 3.

Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum had to wait nearly 300 days to play in an NBA game after rupturing his Achilles in May. So, it is safe to say that he is enjoying life on the court, especially since his remarkable comeback has seen C go 2-0 up.

On Sunday afternoon, Tatum and company picked up a 109-98 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on the road. The six-time All-Star finished with 20 points, three rebounds and two assists in a nearly wire-to-wire win. And although Tatum missed seven of his nine attempts from deep, he nailed a wide-open triple with just 1:59 remaining in the fourth quarter to seal the Cavs’ first season sweep of the Celtics since the 2019-2020 campaign.

With Tatum sidelined, the Celtics managed to go an impressive 41-21 this season. They now improve to 43-21 overall and are benefiting from his arrival on the court and in the standings, as the Celtics are 2.5 games behind the first-place Detroit Pistons in the Eastern Conference.

The Houston Rockets earned a hard-earned 123-118 win against the Washington Wizards at Capital One Center on Monday, with Kevin Durant and Alpern Sengun doing most of the damage.

However, Washington will finally get a star when Trae Young makes his debut on Thursday against the Utah Jazz. Young missed most of the season due to an MCL injury.

Durant, who cheered the Wizards as a child, expressed his excitement over Young’s return. He said that the pairing of Young and Anthony Davis should do wonders As for Washington, who has long been a cellar-dweller.

“He (Young) is dynamic. A guy that can create for everybody, score for himself. He’ll make the game easier for everybody else on the floor. He’s a true point guard. Right now, they’re doing it by committee, so with him being there, it will make everybody’s mind and their game easier, and they can just settle into their roles,” Durant said in a video on the Space City Home Network.

If there’s any glimmer of hope that the Browns can still get some positive production from Watson, it’s up to Monken to figure it out. If not, Watson will be a free agent at the end of the 2026 season, and then the Browns can finally move on from their biggest mistake ever. Or, maybe Watson proves everyone wrong and returns to Houston as an MVP candidate.

The rigors of the NBA rookie season can exhaust even the most prepared first-year players. However, for New Orleans Pelicans rookie Derrick Queen, the physical demands are matched by a growing appreciation for the All-Rookie opportunity in front of him, even when it comes in the middle of the night.

Queen has been one of James Borrego’s key players during an injury-plagued season. However, the physical impact of playing over 1000 pre-All-Star games after a few months of some off-season rehab work isn’t really taking effect yet.

Queen shared, “I feel good. I was just thinking about it. I forgot all about the three months I was out.” “I actually woke up at midnight thinking about it. I’m (somewhat) excited for the opportunity to perform.”

The excitement of finally being on the floor, of finally getting a chance to prove myself in the league, has completely overshadowed the memory of the downtime. When Queen was asked to pinpoint his favorite moment so far, the play that injected some joy into a losing season, he didn’t select a poster highlight or a career-high scoring night. Instead, the rookie chose a moment of pure basketball intelligence.

“When we played Portland, at halftime we were talking about kicks and how we didn’t have to take extra dribbles,” Queen said. “The kicks are open, and they were pressuring us. I got the ball, took a dribble, then passed it to (Sadiq Bey), and he made a three. It was a good pass.”

In a league often obsessed with dunks and isolation scoring, Queen’s favorite play was a simple swing pass resulting in a three-pointer. It was a play born of a halftime adjustment. That’s the only thing the Pelicans are excited about. Joe Dumars and Troy Weaver invested in a man who appreciates playing the game the right way.

The Dallas Mavericks suffered their tenth consecutive loss at the hands of the Minnesota Timberwolves, with Anthony Edwards having a stellar performance with 40 points and six rebounds in a 122–111 victory. The Timberwolves currently sit in 5th place in the Western Conference with a 35-22 record and will have their sights set on the top spots in the standings. Edwards recorded his eighth 40-point outing of the season and pushed the Mavericks’ losing streak to their worst in three decades.

The Timberwolves started the game 8-for-13 from three-point range, exploded for 40-points in the first quarter, and built a lead that reached 17–18 points before halftime. Edwards led that surge with 20 points in the first half, including 17 points in the second quarter.

The Wolves finished the half with 69 points and 11 made threes and then proceeded to withstand a late surge from the Mavericks. Dallas responded with a 24–8 run that cut the deficit to two midway through the third quarter.

However, the comeback was immediately stopped, even though the Mavs were tied at 103–103 with 6:55 remaining. Dallas is also missing players like Cooper Flagg and Max Christie, along with Kyrie Irving and Derek Lively, who are both out for the season.

Edwards took control of the final minutes and scored 14 points in the fourth quarter to eventually make the margin comfortable. In addition to ANT, Rudy Gobert recorded 22 points, 17 rebounds and three blocks, while Naz Reed added 21 points, seven rebounds, four assists and four threes.

The Timberwolves will now play the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday, with the Mavericks set to take on next year’s finalists the Indiana Pacers, hoping to end their losing streak.
