Dutch side NAC Breda could get a huge windfall after Tottenham Hotspur bid €40m for brighton and hove albion Jan Paul van Hecke.
Journalist Joost Blauhof reports NAC is set to earn 7.5% from the Breda transfer after ‘serious bid’ from Tottenham today.

Tottenham are keen to reunite Roberto De Zerbi with Van Hecke this summer, backing claims in England, according to the report. They have now made their move in an attempt to pounce him ahead of Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea.
And any move would be highly beneficial to his former club NAC Breda. Blauhof reports that NAC COO Edgar Mol may ‘get hold of a calculator’ for the Dutch club.
According to their information, Van Hecke is set to bring in an ‘extraordinary sum of money’ this summer. Reports from England indicate that Tottenham have offered Brighton around €40m for the 25-year-old. According to him, it will be ‘raised even higher’.
NAC gets 7.5%
And NAC is sure to profit as they get 7.5% from any deal. He did not say whether this was 7.5% of the total amount or the profit made by Brighton. Such deals are often based on the latter.
If it is the former, it would be worth around €3m. If it was based on profit it would be slightly lower. Brighton paid €2m for Van Hecke in 2020, so that’s a profit of €38m. So, NAC will receive approximately €2.85 million.
He will also likely receive a percentage from FIFA’s solidarity payments, as Van Hecke joined them in 2018 and spent two years at the club in the U19s and then the first team before moving to Brighton.
