Jaylen Brown explains how astrology helps him lead Boston’s locker room

Jaylen Brown said his leadership approach with the Boston Celtics has taken an unconventional turn this season, incorporating astrology and numerology to better communicate with teammates.

Brown revealed the method after Boston’s 120-99 win over the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night, a performance in which he led the team with 32 points while adding six rebounds, five assists and two steals. He shot a perfect 11 of 20 from the field and 9 of 9 from the free-throw line, and finished 1 of 4 from three-point range in 35 minutes.

Speaking after the game with CelticsBlog’s Noah Dalzell, Brown detailed how studying the personalities of teammates through astrology and numerology has helped him hone his communication style.

“I learned a lot about each of our guys, even down to liking astrology – everything. I learned the communication styles that work best for each person, and started using those when I talk to each person… I didn’t know that would work before the season started but that thing definitely works.”

Brown said he has gone so far as to memorize specific traits associated with teammates’ zodiac signs and numerology profiles.

“I remember like Neemias, he’s the year of the rabbit so his communication is different from D-White. D-White is the year of the dog so his communication style is different. Hugo is also a dog, Peyton is a tiger, JT is a tiger, Ron is a dragon, who is a dragon. Nicola he’s new to our team, he’s the year of the horse right now. Each of them have different communication styles and you can go into that like numerology as well.”

He also explained how numerology influences his leadership approach.

“Sam is five, I’m five… so, different breakdowns and you can even go into star signs. Like JT, he’s Pisces, etc. I learned all different kinds of things, so I was able to communicate to people in different ways to help my leadership this year.”

This approach coincided with one of the most productive seasons of Brown’s career. Through 62 games, the 28-year-old has averaged 28.5 points, seven rebounds, 5.1 assists and one steal per contest, while shooting 48% from the field and 34.2% from three-point range in 34.1 minutes per game.

Brown’s performance has helped Boston achieve a 46–23 record and the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference standings. The Celtics have maintained that position despite star forward Jayson Tatum recently returning from an Achilles injury and playing only six games since his return.

As the regular season progressed, Brown’s combination of on-court production and off-court leadership has played a central role in Boston’s success. His willingness to explore unconventional ways to connect with teammates has become a defining element of his approach during a season in which the Celtics have remained one of the conference’s top contenders.

Manchester United track down Napoli ace – clause helps transfer

Manchester United have been keeping an eye on Napoli midfielder Eljif Elmas in recent weeksAccording to a report from Italy. North Macedonian emerged as a potential market opportunity ahead of the summer.

Italian Outlet tuttomerkatoweb The report adds that the Premier League side are one of the clubs monitoring the 26-year-old, who is enjoying a strong season under Antonio Conte at Napoli.

Elmas has become one of the manager’s reliable options, even though injuries in the team have forced him to adapt to different roles.

The situation is particularly interesting because of the structure of his current deal. Elmas joined Napoli from RB Leipzig with a purchase option set at €16m (£13.7m), a figure considered relatively low in the current market.

As a result, if Napoli decide to activate it and subsequently move the player, several Premier League clubs could see this situation as a potential opportunity. it was Targeted by West Ham last summerWhen he still played in Germany, but eventually chose the Italian side.

Napoli can still make a profit without their asking price being too high.

Season under Conte

Despite not always playing in his preferred role, Elmas remains a key figure in Conte’s rotation. Injuries within the team have often pushed him deeper into midfield rather than the more advanced attacking position for which he was originally signed.

He recently scored his first goal of the season against Torino, ending a long wait to get back on the scoresheet.

Speaking after that match, Elmas admitted that the moment was a relief after a difficult run without a goal.

“I missed scoring a lot and I’m sad that I wasn’t able to score. It was a difficult moment for me, and finally after many matches I found it again. I’m happy for the goal, but the most important thing was to win and bring home three points.” He said.

The midfielder also praised Conte for the confidence he has shown throughout the campaign.

“I didn’t hear what the coach said, thank you. He has always given me confidence and always believed in me. I always tried to give my best and do what he wants. I hope I did well”, He reflected.

Role adaptation and Premier League interest

Elmas also admitted that he has had to make tactical adjustments this season, especially when used as a deeper midfielder.

“When you play as a defensive midfielder you also need to defend, not just look for the goal and go forward. Even when you change roles during the match it is difficult, but I am happy that I am doing well”, He said.

With his versatility and hopefully reasonable price, it’s easy to see why Manchester United and other Premier League clubs may take notice ahead of the summer window.

Napoli’s decision on activating the purchase clause from Leipzig will likely be the first step before any potential move materialises.

‘Veteran’ CJ McCollum helps Atlanta make playoff push

The Atlanta Hawks have seen different iterations of their team come and go this season, but they currently have this group they are used to down the stretch. With a mix of experienced and young players, the Hawks have the right ingredients to make the playoffs, and they are doing so, as evidenced by their current winning streak.

One player who has been a big help for the Hawks since January is CJ McCollum, and he seems to fit in well with what the team is trying to accomplish. Quin Snyder recently made the move to insert him into the starting lineup, as statistics show he is a much better team when he plays with Dyson Daniels, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Jalen Johnson and Onyeka Okongwu.

Players also see the difference McCullum makes when he is on the field.

“From an experience standpoint, we have CJs who are experienced, and the same thing with nickel, Okongwu said. “They’re leading us to better basketball, we’re having fun out there.”

“C.J. has been great for us,” Daniels said. “That vet presence, a guy who can make things happen. He’s a leader for us. A guy we can rely on, a guy who can get a bucket when we need to. It’s been really good to have him.”

When the Hawks needed a bucket, McCollum was there to make the save many times. This is what he has done throughout his career, and he is helping the Buckeye Hawks as they try to climb the Eastern Conference standings.

Snyder believes the Hawks have found something with McCollum and the other newcomers to the team.

“There was a period of about a week or two where those guys were really trying to figure it out,” Snyder said. “The thing that allows teams to come together is to bring yourself to the team and not be able to worry about a lot of numbers. I think those guys have really started to embrace that, and it makes the whole greater than the sum of the parts.”

The Hawks are clicking at the right time of the season, and if they take care of business, they could find themselves higher than the ninth seed by the end of the year.
