The Rangers manager replied: “There are probably a lot of rumors circulating. It was the same last summer. If you go by speculation, I would already have 15 coaching positions. My focus is here in Glasgow. I like the job because I can compete for titles here and also at international level. And it’s a very good opportunity that I really enjoy.”

At the moment it doesn’t seem to be that big of an issue, and the manager is enjoying his time at Rangers and Glasgow. He even promoted the city as a better alternative to Edinburgh.

“My wife and children lived in Germany and came to visit me often. I have an apartment in the West End. Glasgow is really nice, I love it. There are lots of restaurants, the city is very new. I would compare Edinburgh and Glasgow to Dresden and Leipzig. One city is a little more sophisticated and extremely cultural, the other is fabulous and lively.”

Rangers contract and exit clause question

Bild asked directly if he had an exit clause at Ibrox applicable to Bundesliga clubs.

To that he replied: “No, I don’t have them.”

While the manager now wants to move on and win trophies with Rangers, there will always be a suspicion that Germany remains a temptation. If that return follows a successful 2026/27 season then things could work out for everyone.

As became clear last summer, Rohl needs to do more to attract a good Bundesliga club, and Rangers could benefit from that kind of motivation.

The Phoenix Suns have been without Devin Booker for the past four games as he deals with a hip strain injury he suffered during the team’s 121-94 loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Feb. 19. However, his latest update suggests that he may make a comeback soon.

According to John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM Phoenix, reports indicate the 29-year-old guard is expected to return the first week of March. Booker could return for either Tuesday’s game against the Sacramento Kings or Thursday’s contest against the Chicago Bulls.

“Devin Booker is recovering from a hip injury and is poised to return after a four-day break – possibly Sacramento on Tuesday or Chicago on Thursday.”

This is very good news for the Suns team, which is firmly involved in the Western Conference. As of Friday, Feb. 27, Phoenix owns the No. 7 seed. Booker returning to the lineup should give the team what it needs to compete in the final stretch of the regular season.

The 11-year veteran has been the face of the franchise this season. Although many believed the Suns could potentially struggle, Phoenix has actually been incredibly competitive. Especially when Devin Booker is on the court. In the 44 games he has played, Booker is averaging 24.7 points, 3.9 rebounds and 6.1 assists per game, while shooting 45.5% from the field and 30.8% from beyond the three-point line.

After defeating the Los Angeles Lakers 113-110 on Thursday, the Suns will not play again until Tuesday’s game against the Kings. Phoenix gets three consecutive days off, giving Booker and his teammates plenty of time to rest and prepare for Sacramento.

With the Utah Jazz already on the NBA radar, fans are eagerly awaiting the latest injury update from star forward Lauri Markkanen. According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, an MRI revealed that the 2023 All-Star and Most Improved Player of the Year has a “symptomatic hip injury with associated swelling and bone bruises.” He also twisted his ankle during practice, but results showed there was no damage on that front. He will be reevaluated in two weeks.

The NBA fined the Jazz in early February for “conduct detrimental to the league” after the team benched both Markkanen and Jaren Jackson Jr. for the entire fourth quarter in a 115–111 win against the Miami Heat. Many believe that Utah will essentially trade off its top player, and the league is also unaware of the franchise’s intentions. However, it’s highly unlikely that Commissioner Adam Silver will do anything following the MRI results.

The NBA chose not to send an independent doctor to examine Markkanen, but is keeping a close eye on the situation. It will be interesting to see how Silver and company react to Thursday’s news. The Jazz are 18-40 and currently hold the sixth-worst record in the league. If they fall out of the top-eight in the lottery, their 2026 first-round draft pick will go to the Oklahoma City Thunder, so the team has all the incentive in the world to keep losing.

However, the NBA is taking a tough stance against tanking and it may not be easy for Utah to solidify its draft position. The Jazz are hardly the only team to engage in such practices this season, but they have drawn unwanted attention from league offices.

At the moment, there does not appear to be any uncertainty regarding Lauri Markkanen’s status. He will miss the next several games and then the management will examine his situation.

The Atlanta Hawks face the Washington Wizards on Tuesday hoping to pick up their 29th win of the season. Unfortunately, star forward Jalen Johnson is said to have suffered a hip injury during the contest.

According to NBA insider Brett Siegel, reports indicate that Johnson, who is 24, suffered a left hip strain during the game. The Hawks listed him as questionable to return.

“Hawks say Jalen Johnson has a left hip flexor injury and is questionable to return against the Wizards.”

The injury occurred during the first six minutes of the game against the Wizards. Jalen Johnson left the court after recording five points, three rebounds and two steals on 50.0% shooting from the floor. According to Siegel, after a quick trip to the locker room, Atlanta ruled Johnson out for the remainder of the game.

“Jalen Johnson will not return to tonight’s game due to his hip injury.”

Hopefully, it’s not a serious injury and Johnson can return soon. He has emerged as one of the go-to stars for the Hawks, as he entered Tuesday’s contest averaging 23.4 points, 10.8 rebounds, 8.1 assists and 1.3 steals per game, while shooting 49.4% from the floor and 34.3% from beyond the three-point line. He earned an All-Star award this season for the first time in his career.

Newly hired forward Jonahn Kuminga may get some additional playing time alongside Jalen Johnson against the Wizards. Zachary Rishachar may also see an expanded role. Either way, these are the two players most likely to step up for the Hawks if Johnson misses time with a hip injury.

The San Antonio Spurs picked up where they left off before the midseason break with an easy 121-94 win over the Phoenix Suns on Thursday at the Moody Center.

After a hard-fought first half, the Spurs outscored the Suns 37–22 in the third quarter, blowing the game open.

San Antonio won its eighth straight and moved to 39–16, while Phoenix fell to 32–24. The loss could be extra costly for the Suns, as Devin Booker was forced to exit early with a hip injury and did not return.

Spurs coach Mitch Johnson sent a message of support for Booker, who has struggled to stay healthy this season.

“Hopefully, Devin is OK. You hate to see one of the league’s premier players get injured,” Johnson said, as quoted by Jared Weiss of The Athletic.

Booker played only nine minutes, tallying five points and one rebound.

He has already missed 13 matches due to an ankle injury.

Stephen Cassel had 20 points, four assists and three steals to lead the Spurs, with Victor Wembanyama adding 17 points, 11 rebounds and five blocks. De’Aaron Fox contributed 15 points, three rebounds and eight assists.

Booker’s premature exit further troubled the Suns, who were playing without Dillon Brooks due to a one-game suspension.

Jalen Green led Phoenix with 26 points, three rebounds and three steals in his second game back from a hamstring injury. Mark Williams contributed 10 points and 11 rebounds.

It’s unclear whether Booker will miss an extended period of time, but as Johnson said, it would be good for the league to get the All-Star guard back on the court as soon as possible.
