Deion Sanders has done a lot of damage to the Jaguars and Browns, didn’t get his take on Hunter and Shedeur?

It seems Deion Sanders is very upset that the NFL teams that drafted their top two players from Colorado last year didn’t seek his input on how to best utilize him.

Most football fans are well aware of the fact that Sanders has a very high opinion of himself. He’s a rare two-pro sport athlete who went from being an eight-time Pro Bowler to a Hall of Famer in the NFL and one of, if not the, greatest cornerback of all-time.

Sanders has also built a solid resume as a coach in the college ranks and has helped put Colorado back on the map as a notable program. His greatest success came when he led the Buffaloes to a 9–4 record and his son Shedure Sanders and two-way star Travis Hunter played huge roles in that. Unsurprisingly, both were drafted last year, with the latter being a first-round selection.

However, both of them struggled in their rookie seasons. And it seems Sanders feels it could have been avoided, and would have been poised for an even better sophomore season, if the teams that drafted him, the Cleveland Browns and Jacksonville Jaguars, had asked for his input on how to best utilize him.

Deion Sanders on not getting Browns’ opinion: ‘I don’t understand it’

“I want to meet him,” Sanders told Garrett Bush about new Browns head coach Todd Monken. “Because I think it’s important that as a coach, not as a father, I can tell him some things about [Shedeur]How to take it forward? I wasn’t asked this a year ago. I don’t understand this.

He added, “Even a guy like Travis Hunter is being drafted to Jacksonville, and I’ve had him for the last three years.” “Don’t you think you’d want to talk to me to tell me, to ask me how – what pushes him forward and what holds him back, and what else, like, wouldn’t you like to know?”

Sanders makes a reasonable case. He will know those two players as well as anyone and his insight can be helpful in setting plans for those two players. However, it may be further evidence that Sanders’ adventurous personality has not been welcomed in some NFL circles that the Browns and Jaguars passed up those opportunities.

Hunter tied to Tulsky, York Storm in GM search

As Barry Trotz’s retirement approaches, the Nashville Predators’ search for a new general manager is intensifying. Now, a new rumor has surfaced – their victim is being linked to the Carolina Hurricanes.

During Eliot Friedman’ssaturday headlines‘Segment in the second intermission of’hockey night in canada‘, Sportsnet’s insider shared the latest rumors from the Predators’ pursuit, including a report that Nashville requested to speak to Hurricanes GM, Eric Tulsky.

“Hurricane didn’t talk about it when I asked about it today,” Friedman said. “But I understand — it’s kind of a weird timing, because Keith Pelley mentioned Eric Tulsky’s name the other day — but during their search, Nashville asked permission to talk to Carolina’s GM, and he was again denied. The Hurricanes will not discuss it.”

Tulsky’s first job with an NHL team – a consultant role – was with the Predators during the 2012 offseason. Considering his past relationships and the Hurricanes’ recent front-office success, it would make sense for the Predators to talk to him. But it says even more about his role in Carolina that his request was not even considered.

Darren Yorke reportedly interviewed by Nashville

Tulsky wasn’t the only guy from Carolina to draw interest from the Tennessee team. Friedman continued discussing the rumors, including what he has heard about the candidates and personal interviews, listing Brett Peterson (Florida Panthers assistant GM), Scott White (Dallas Stars assistant GM), Bill Scott (Edmonton Oilers assistant GM), and Darren York (Carolina Hurricanes assistant GM).

“As far as I can tell, this has not been reported before,” he said. “Darren Yorke from the Carolina Hurricanes. He’s the GM of the Chicago Wolves; he’s been there for 17 years. I think he had a personal journey. We’ll see where Nashville goes from here.”

Friedman further noted that the Hurricanes also refused to speak to him regarding the rumors regarding York.
