According to NBA insider Marc Stein, “There is fear all over the world that the Mavericks are likely to receive trade interest in Irving this offseason, whether they want it or not.” If Dallas has seriously considered trade offers for a player who misses the 2025-26 season, let’s take a look at five teams that could make a deal.

After falling short in the semifinals of the NBA Playoffs, the Minnesota Timberwolves are looking to make a big move that could send them to the NBA Finals next spring. They have been linked to a potential trade for stars like Giannis Antetokounmpo, Ja Morant and Kevin Durant over the past few years. If they can’t make a deal for either of those players this summer, Irving could be an interesting backup option.

There is definitely risk in the deal. However, Irving would come at a cheaper price than Antetokounmpo or Durant. Especially when he has two years and $81 million left on his contract. However, if he can return as an All-Star closer in 2024-25, the combo of Irving and Anthony Edwards could be dynamite.

While the Detroit Pistons showed during the regular season that they are ready to be a force in the East right now, the playoffs proved that they are in desperate need of another impact scorer to pair with top star Cade Cunningham. Trading the 34-year-old coming off an ACL tear isn’t a typical Pistons move, but the price could make it a realistic option.

If healthy, Irving would be a great No. 2 scorer for Cunningham in 2026-27.

It appears that the Los Angeles Clippers are rebuilding. They traded James Harden and were able to acquire the fifth pick in the NBA draft by transferring Ivica Zubac. Yet, they still have Kawhi Leonard and were in contention for a playoff spot last month. Some around the league think they might even consider trading their first-rounder to bring in another star next month.

This may be too high a price for Irving. However, if LA isn’t hit with a heavy draft penalty for the Aspiration Scandal, using a future pick to pair Irving with Leonard, and whoever they get with the No. 5 pick, could lead to a very good team next season.

Miami Heat

The Miami Heat are likely to be star hunting this summer after a disappointing finish to the 2025-26 season. Before this year’s trade deadline, reports surfaced that the team was considering a trade for Ja Morant. If they were open to that idea, why not make a move for Irving instead? At least he’s less volatile and has played better over the years.

If they lose Norman Powell in free agency, the Heat will need to fill their scoring void. If healthy, the trio of Bam Adebayo, Tyler Herro and Kyrie Irving could make some noise in the East next season.

Chicago Bulls

The Chicago Bulls are in rebuilding mode and plan to move forward with Josh Giddy and Matas Buzzelis as the new faces of the franchise. However, they need more attacking punch if they want to at least make a run for a play-in spot next season.

They certainly have the assets to trade and are at such a low point that they would risk adding a 34-year-old coming off ACL surgery and still owed over $80 million.

After he was surprisingly fired by the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday night, a new report has revealed a pair of teams that may soon request an interview with the Hall of Famer.

Before the New York Knicks and Cleveland Cavaliers square off in a wild Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals inside Madison Square Garden, the Mavericks dropped a bombshell on the basketball world when reports surfaced that they had fired their head coach after five seasons.

Kidd led the team to the NBA Finals two years ago, and despite having four years and $40 million left on his contract after signing an extension through 2024, NBA insider Marc Stein claims that the new Mavs head of basketball operations, Masai Ujiri, wanted a “clean slate” after taking the job a few weeks ago.

It now means that a respected head coach, who was a great player as a player, is available to NBA teams, with or without an opening. Still, it’s quite possible that the 53-year-old takes a break and waits for the first opportunity to emerge after stints with the Brooklyn Nets, Milwaukee Bucks and Mavericks.

Could the Magic and Trail Blazers make Jason Kidd their next coach?

If he does interview, Steen pointed to a pair of teams that would make sense as landing spots for Kidd — first, the Orlando Magic. However, with $40 million still coming his way, Kidd might be willing to take a discount for a friend and take a Trail Blazers team with a good young core.

The writing is on the wall for Alvin Kamara with the New Orleans Saints. This has been going on since March, when the team signed 27-year-old running back Travis Etienne to a four-year, $48 million contract. Kamara, who turns 31 in July, played in just 11 games last season, marking the first time he recorded fewer than 1,000 all-purpose yards in his seven-year career.

If the Saints decide to remove Kamara from the roster they could save a little over $13.9M (but incur a $24.3M dead cap charge). If they wait until after June 1, the Saints save a little more than $300,000, but they only have to face a $10 million dead cap fee. There’s always the possibility that a team is willing to trade for the remainder of Kamara’s contract, which has a cap hit of $10.4 million, a rate that could potentially be a bit high for a team already paying Etienne that much.

On Monday, Saints general manager Mickey Loomis acknowledged that the team is still “trying to see how Kamara fits into our roster.” This is a strong message to opposing teams, showing that the five-time Pro Bowl running back, who is quite adept at catching passes out of the backfield, is available via trade. Let’s take a look at which teams could make sense for Kamara.

There’s no guarantee he’s ready for a full workload, but having a nine-year veteran like Kamara in the backfield could do wonders for Liam Coen’s side.

Josh Jacobs is Green Bay’s biggest player, but the Packers also often relied on Emmanuel Wilson for a career-high 140 points last season. But Wilson is gone now, and if there’s one area in which Jacobs can improve, it’s as a pass-catcher, which is an area in which Kamara excels. He could be the perfect spellback for Matt LaFleur’s system.

Baltimore Ravens

Derrick Henry is one of the best running backs in the NFL. He is a devastating ball forward who always looks to drop forward, and is an excellent option near the goal line. But when it comes to speed and agility, or even moving the chains as a pass-catcher, there’s room for another playmaker in Baltimore’s backfield. This is an area where Kamara can fit perfectly.

Always pursuing big-name playmakers, the Cowboys could be an ideal fit for Kamara as a backup to Javonte Williams. Additionally, there is a possibility that Kamara is coming into the 2026 season with a huge challenge on his shoulders after a poor season last year. If so, the Cowboys could be getting an inspired star, just like they benefited from George Pickens last season.

As ESPN’s Matt Bowen wrote, the Los Angeles Rams are the “best” fit for Diggs in the upcoming 2026-27 NFL season. Diggs will be next to Puka Nakua and Davante Adams, giving the Rams an excellent wide receiver trio for starting quarterback Matthew Stafford.

There are several reasons why the Rams would be a good fit for Diggs. In Los Angeles, the former Patriots wide receiver will work inside or outside, providing versatility to the organization. More importantly, Diggs won’t have to fill the wide receiver room like he did in New England.

Diggs will be lined up next to Necua and Adams, meaning he won’t get as much attention. This will be good for Stafford, as Diggs can spread out and operate in the middle of the field. There will be less pressure on the 32-year-old wide receiver as he looks to return to the Super Bowl. This is another reason why this will work.

Diggs is nearing the end of his NFL career, and Los Angeles is one of the favorites to win the 2027 Super Bowl. The Rams are considered a strong offensive team, but they worked on their defense during the 2026 NFL offseason. If Diggs joins the offense, it will become even more powerful.

Diggs’ days as an elite WR1 are over, but he can serve as a WR2. In Los Angeles, he will certainly be the best WR3 in the NFL. The Rams don’t need Diggs to compete for a Super Bowl, but adding him would boost their chances even more.

Now that the rosters are mostly set, we’re starting to get a clearer picture of the differences between Super Bowl contenders and contenders. Claiming the NFL’s reigning MVP, the Los Angeles Rams clearly fall into the former category of teams reaching the postseason again in 2026.

The question is, do the Rams have what it takes to bounce back from falling short in the NFC Conference Championship?

One area that some predicted the Rams would address early in the 2026 NFL Draft was the wide receiver position behind Puka Nakua and Davante Adams. After using the 13th overall pick on quarterback Ty Simpson, the Rams waited until the sixth round to select a wide receiver.

Although the Rams haven’t done much to find an immediate impact pass-catcher, that could change. There are still several potentially game-changing receivers available in free agency.

Most athletes who have ever played football would love to have a career like Russell Wilson. After all, how many third-round picks can say they earned the title of franchise quarterback as a rookie?

Wilson did so and helped the Seattle Seahawks win the organization’s first Super Bowl in his second season of play. He did all this despite being short at 5 feet 11 inches and earning 10 Pro Bowl accolades along the way.

While Wilson had a stellar early career, he has come back down to earth recently, leading his team to just one playoff appearance since 2021. This comes after seven playoff appearances in their first eight seasons. Although the 37-year-old may no longer be viewed as a high-end starter, there is no doubt that he is still a capable quarterback who also showed game-changing ability with the Giants last season.

He has already received a contract offer from the New York Jets, but Wilson is also said to be considering TV opportunities. Still, if Wilson really wants to play but isn’t impressed by the Jets’ offer, who else could sign him this offseason?

The Patriots have definitely found their franchise quarterback, so they are now filling out their depth chart with developmental prospects. However, can he effectively lead the same high-powered offense that Jared Goff can? no way. Still, Wilson may have a better chance of maintaining the Lions’ explosive scoring attack, and he will also benefit from playing inside the domed stadium of Ford Field.

When Josh Allen is healthy, the Buffalo Bills are Super Bowl contenders. If he isn’t, and backup Kyle Allen has to lead the charge, the Bills are effectively screwed. While no one can replace Allen’s production as a passer and rusher, Wilson may be their best bet to help in a pinch. Plus, he’ll still get a chance to live in New York, as he did last year while playing for the Giants.

A reunion? We can’t completely rule it out as Aaron Rodgers is still unsigned in free agency. Wilson led the Steelers to the playoffs once; Who’s to say he can’t do it again with Mike McCarthy pushing his buttons? This result would only make sense if Rodgers surprisingly decided not to sign in Pittsburgh, but for some reason, he still hasn’t agreed to a new contract.

Have the Broncos burned bridges with Wilson? It’s possible the ice hasn’t melted yet for Sean Payton and GM George Payton. Still, they recently expressed interest in adding a quarterback while Bo Nix recovers from surgery, and if for some reason he’s not ready for Week 1, Wilson would be a huge upgrade over Jarrett Stidham.

DJ Moore may not be the solution, but we could see it working while adding Stefon Diggs to help take attention away from each other. Diggs already knows the offense, and he already has chemistry with Josh Allen. It makes a lot more sense not to work.

The Patriots may have been concerned about the potential PR hit and potential future suspension of Diggs when deciding to release Diggs from their roster in March. Now that the NFL Draft has come and gone, the Patriots haven’t added anyone in free agency except Romeo Dobbs, so the Patriots should welcome Diggs with open arms and really try to win a Super Bowl this time.

Who wouldn’t want to team up with Patrick Mahomes? Diggs is still chasing his first Super Bowl ring, and Kansas City has always been confident in his ability to reach the big game. Who knows? Maybe with Diggs, they could quickly get back to the top of the mountain.

Diggs is a DC native, which has led to frequent rumors that he would like to play for the Washington Commanders. When it came time to choose a college, he decided to stay close to home and play for Maryland. We’ve reached the part of the offseason where the Giants are starting to see the writing on the wall. Last year, the Indianapolis Colts traded two picks in the first round to make Sauce Gardner their new No. 1 CB. This did not change the role of Kenny Moore, who served as the team’s nickelback, but it did mean there was a new defensive leader in the clubhouse.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Moore requested and was granted his release by the Colts on Thursday.

Moore, a one-time Pro Bowler in 2021, has started 111 of the 132 games he appeared in with the Colts in 2017, when he arrived as an undrafted rookie free agent. Now 30, Moore feels he still has something to offer, just not to the Colts.

Still valued as one of the better nickelbacks in the NFL, Moore will be in high demand as a free agent. Which teams should sign a veteran corner?

While Moore will likely want to join a contender, we can’t completely rule out the Titans hiring Gus Bradley as their defensive coordinator. Bradley was Moore’s defensive coordinator for three seasons from 2022 to 2024, and we think both sides would welcome a reunion under the right circumstances.

After saying goodbye to franchise icon Lavonte David, the Buccaneers would benefit from more experienced defensive leadership. Additionally, the team should still be looking for an upgrade considering the Buccaneers ranked near the bottom in points allowed, passing yards allowed and passing touchdowns allowed, and Tampa Bay hasn’t made many additions to its secondary this offseason.

san francisco 49ers

As mentioned, Moore may want to join a contender, and the 49ers could provide a comfortable home. The 49ers’ defensive coordinator is Matt Eberflus, who was the Colts’ defensive coordinator from Moore’s second season through his fifth season, including Moore’s only Pro Bowl season in 2021. After recording career-highs in interceptions (4) and tackles (102) in 2021, Moore will certainly welcome the chance to play for Eberflus again.

The Cowboys entered the 2026 NFL Draft with a need to improve at the cornerback position. While safety Caleb Downs would help in the secondary, the Cowboys did not select a corner until the fourth round. While Devin Moore could be part of the long-term solution in Dallas, the Cowboys may prefer to hire a veteran like Kenny Moore to help coach them.

The possibility of Paolo Banchero being traded out of Orlando this summer is very high, according to a new report.

While the Orlando Magic star hasn’t been the dominant force the team needed as a former No. 1 pick, the 23-year-old is still a very talented player. He showed this with his 38 and 45-point performances in the playoff series against the Detroit Pistons. However, it cannot be denied that he has been the face of a team that has suffered first-round exits in three consecutive seasons.

For now, head coach Jamahl Mosley is taking the blame after being fired on Monday. However, an interesting report from ESPN NBA insiders Tim Bontemps and Brian Windhorst doesn’t look good for Banchero.

“They’re kind of a mess. Their ceiling isn’t very high with Paolo. Their roster construction is off right now,” said one East scout. “…It’s hard to see him leading his team.”

If scouts feel that way about Banchero, it’s likely Magic management feels the same way, especially considering they’ve played well without him during the season. If Orlando does boldly trade the 2022 No. 1 pick, let’s take a look at five teams that could target a trade.

Now that Masai Ujiri has been installed as the new president of the Dallas Mavericks, the team will certainly be aggressive in building the roster around last year’s No. 1 pick Cooper Flagg. The Mavs have the contracts to make a deal work, but they would have to give up some future first-round picks to garner interest from the Magic. If they do, the combination of Flagg and Banchero will excite Dallas fans for the next five years.

Brooklyn Nets

The Brooklyn Nets desperately need a long-term face of the franchise. Their rebuild has been poor so far, and they don’t seem eager to make Michael Porter Jr. the heart of their roster. The Nets certainly have draft assets and interesting young talent. The big question is, does Orlando see a big upside in many of its first-round prospects from last June?

Sacramento Kings

The Sacramento Kings will be aggressive in making changes to their roster this offseason after a disastrous 2025-26 campaign. They have two additional first-rounders in the upcoming draft, including two in 2027. What makes the Kings an interesting trade partner is that Orlando could return future first-rounder and three-time All-Star Domantas Sabonis.

Despite his age (just turned 30) and injury problems this season, the forward and first-rounder would be a nice return for Orlando. While Sactown have got a new young star in the deal.

The Phoenix Suns made great strides in 2025-26 after being one of the most disappointing teams in the NBA a season ago. New head coach Jordan Ott implemented a more defensive-minded system that would certainly fit with Banchero, as he played for the Magic.

He won’t come cheap and may cost him some future first-round picks, but the combo of Banchero and Devin Booker could make Phoenix a force in the West for the next few years.

Chicago Bulls

The Chicago Bulls are going through a major transformation. They have a new front office leader and are looking for a replacement for head coach Billy Donovan. Chicago also needs a proven star to be the face of this new era.

They definitely don’t want to trade Josh Giddy or Matas Buzelis. But they could offer multiple first-round picks, including one of their two potential selections in a stacked draft next month. It might not be enough to convince Orlando, but they could work out a pretty good trade package.

Texas Tech Red Raiders quarterback Brandon Sorsby is facing the possibility of being stripped of his eligibility by the NCAA in 2022 for allegedly betting on football games while he was with the Indiana Hoosiers. If that happens, the NFL’s supplemental draft may once again be relevant.

While the supplemental draft once produced starting-caliber players such as Josh Gordon (2012) and Ahmad Brooks (2006), a player has not been selected since 2019. Given the number of quarterback-needy teams around the league, Sorsby could change that if he decides to turn pro.

Let’s look at some potential landing spots for Soursby in the NFL supplemental draft.

green Bay Packers

This may come as a surprise. However, the Green Bay Packers would love to have a developmental quarterback behind Jordan Love who they can potentially help like they did with Malik Willis. There will be no pressure on Soursby to play in Green Bay, as he can sit behind both Love and Desmond Ridder. The Packers are projected to receive compensatory picks in Rounds 3 and 4 in the 2027 NFL Draft, which could give general manager Brian Gutekunst the option to sacrifice a third-round pick forfeiture to take Soursby in the supplemental draft. He will have four years of contractual control and can develop for another year before making him Love’s backup in 2027. After that, he’ll still be only 24 years old and the Packers could potentially flip him for premium draft capital in the 2028 NFL Draft.

We are prioritizing landing locations first, where Sorsby will be under no pressure to see the field in the near future. Texas Tech Red Raiders quarterback Brandon Sorsby is facing the possibility of being stripped of his eligibility by the NCAA in 2022 for allegedly betting on football games while he was with the Indiana Hoosiers. If that happens, the NFL’s supplemental draft may once again be relevant.

While the supplemental draft once produced starting-caliber players such as Josh Gordon (2012) and Ahmad Brooks (2006), a player has not been selected since 2019. Given the number of quarterback-needy teams around the league, Sorsby could change that if he decides to turn pro.

Let’s look at some potential landing spots for Soursby in the NFL supplemental draft.

This may come as a surprise. However, the Green Bay Packers would love to have a developmental quarterback behind Jordan Love who they can potentially help like they did with Malik Willis. There will be no pressure on Soursby to play in Green Bay, as he can sit behind both Love and Desmond Ridder. The Packers are projected to receive compensatory picks in Rounds 3 and 4 in the 2027 NFL Draft, which could give general manager Brian Gutekunst the option to sacrifice a third-round pick forfeiture to take Soursby in the supplemental draft. He will have four years of contractual control and can develop for another year before making him Love’s backup in 2027. After that, he’ll still be only 24 years old and the Packers could potentially flip him for premium draft capital in the 2028 NFL Draft.

Brady Tkachuk trade rumors have become more rampant over the past week. After the Ottawa Senators were swept by the Carolina Hurricanes, there has been talk of Tkachuk moving to a different team. After all, this sounds very similar to Quinn Hughes, who was traded to the Minnesota Wild during the 2025-26 NHL season.

Tkachuk has a no-movement clause, meaning he must approve a trade from Ottawa to any organization. The 26-year-old forward is one of the NHL’s most polarizing players. With two years remaining on his contract, trading Tkachuk wouldn’t be cheap. Only a few teams could realistically do that this summer.

Below, we consider five landing spots for Tkachuk as trade rumors heat up, including the Florida Panthers.

The Chicago Blackhawks have not made the Stanley Cup playoffs since 2020, but Tkachuk will take the team to the next level. Emerging superstar Connor Bedard would be an excellent fit with the Senators at forward, and Chicago has arguably the best prospect system in the NHL. It will be questionable whether Tkachuk will approve the Blackhawks, but the organization should at least attempt to do so.

The Detroit Red Wings have the longest playoff drought in the NHL, but adding Tkachuk would be great for the organization. Detroit needs more physicality and general manager Steve Yzerman is adamant on the need for better players. The biggest question is why Tkachuk would approve a trade with Detroit this summer. The Red Wings should try to give Tkachuk a reason to stay in Detroit with a big offseason.

utah mammoth

The Utah Mammoth have the assets to trade for Tkachuk this offseason. Plus, if the 26-year-old forward wants to win, Utah would be a good landing spot. The Mammoth are currently in the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs and look like a team that can advance to the second round. If Utah makes a deep run, it could open the door for Tkachuk to join a Stanley Cup-caliber organization.

st louis blues

The St. Louis Blues could be one of the favorites to trade Tkachuk this offseason. Tkachuk grew up in St. Louis and is close to Blues center Robert Thomas. While the Senators would like to see Thomas in a potential trade, Tkachuk would like to play with his close family friend. The NHL organization was no closer to making the playoffs, but Tkachuk may have had a deep desire to play in St. Louis.

Florida Panthers

The Panthers are undoubtedly the top landing spot for Tkachuk. After earning two Stanley Cup rings, Florida missed the 2026 Stanley Cup playoffs. Led by Brady’s brother Matthew Tkachuk, the Panthers should return to contention after an injury-filled season. The Panthers will have a top-10 pick in the 2026 NHL Draft, and Tkachuk would love to play alongside his brother in the playoffs.

Jeremiah Love is the headliner, but there are several top wide receiver prospects who are finding themselves in attractive landing spots and, of course, there are quarterbacks and tight ends who have come off the board.

Let’s dive into our fantasy football analysis of where each skill player taken in Round 1 ended up. Note, we’re doing this in the order they were chosen.

Fernando Mendoza, QB, Las Vegas Raiders

How do you feel about Jared Goff? That’s pretty much all you’re going to get from Fernando Mendoza in his peak years. The good news is that he already has an All-Pro offensive weapon in Brock Bowers, and we’re confident that Clint Kubiak can get the most out of Mendoza. For 2026, we don’t see any realistic outcome where Mendoza is a top-16 fantasy quarterback. Looking ahead to the next decade, his status could be one of their top-12 fantasy options.

Jeremiah Love, RB, Arizona Cardinals

Was this the ideal landing spot for Jeremiah Love from a fantasy football perspective? No, not even close. The Arizona Cardinals’ offensive line leaves a lot to be desired and, as helpful as Jacoby Brissett was in increasing their number of pass-catchers, Love will face a stacked box because of who Arizona has under center. As the saying goes, it’s the talent that counts. Ashton Jeanty averaged the 11th-most fantasy points among running backs on ESPN as a rookie, and Love’s pass-catching ability is better. We see Love as a top 10 fantasy pick this season and, if the situation ever improves in Arizona, he could be a top three RB in the offseason alongside Bijan Robinson and Jahmir Gibbs.

Carnell Tate, WR, Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans made it abundantly clear tonight that they are fully in on Cam Ward and are willing to invest premium draft capital to back him up. Carnell Tate, the most polished wide receiver prospect in the 2026 NFL Draft, steps in as the clear No. 1 receiver in Brian Daboll’s offense. When people compare him to Calvin Ridley, remember this is the version of the player who put up 3,061 receiving yards and 26 touchdowns in his first three seasons with the Atlanta Falcons. We’d feel confident drafting Tate as a mid-tier WR2 in fantasy football this year, and he could be a high-tier No. 2 long-term.

Jordan Tyson, WR, Arizona State

Medical care is the primary concern for Jordan Tyson. Standing 6 feet 2 inches tall with very good speed and excellent ball skills, he is capable of making big plays both downfield and in the red zone. He’s already a very good route runner who knows how to isolate downfield, a perfect pairing with Tyler Shaw. Some will point to the downside that he’ll share looks with Chris Olave, but Kellen Moore is a very good play-caller, and there are a growing number of examples of a passing game that can support two high-end receivers from a fantasy perspective. We think Tyson can become a low-end WR2 this season, but there will be some instability, and you must remember he has a long track record of lower body injuries.

Ty Simpson, QB, Los Angeles Rams

Well, that’s what happened. Ty Simpson clearly has no fantasy football value in 2026. So, it’s really an attempt to look at him through the lens of the dynasty perspective. There really isn’t a better landing spot for a young quarterback, as this Los Angeles Rams offense will have Sean McVay and Puka Nakua for years to come. It appears we are optimistic about Simpson long-term. Except that, Simpson is only a pedestrian athlete at the quarterback position, with arm strength and playmaking ability that can only be described as adequate. There is no top five fantasy QB upside here, not by a long shot. We don’t view him as a quarterback prospect worth passing on.

Kenyon Saadiq, TE, New York Jets

The fantasy football landscape at tight end isn’t as thin as it used to be. That said, Kenyon Saadiq has the potential to be a top-five player at the position. He is “only” 6 feet 3 inches tall, but his athleticism is off the charts. He is just as capable of leapfrogging a defender (43.5″ vertical leap) or making an acrobatic catch in the end zone as he is taking a short pass and turning on the jets with his speed (4.39 40-yard dash time). Plus, landing with the New York Jets means he’s in the offense with the No. 1 wide receiver, who immediately draws the defense’s attention, and New York’s other first-round pick (Omar Cooper Jr.) creates even more open space. NFL comparisons to Vernon Davis and Trey McBride; Sadiq is that special someone as an athlete and he could be one of the best fantasy players in the coming years.

Makai Lemmon, WR, Philadelphia Eagles

So it is clear that AJ Brown is being traded to the New England Patriots in the first week of June. Makai Lemon, who almost landed with the Pittsburgh Steelers, immediately moved into the No. 2 role in the Philadelphia Eagles offense. This assumes he’s playing DeVonta Smith’s role (113 targets in 17 games last season). There are Amon-Ra Saint Brown-lite qualities here with Lemon, and his skill set is perfect for making an impact in his rookie season. However, his upside is limited as he will be in a run-heavy offense and catching passes from a quarterback whose accuracy issues have already frustrated his two star wide receivers. Lemon may be a high-end WR2 in fantasy at some point in his career, but he’ll become a WR3 in 2026.

Casey Concepcion, WR, Cleveland Browns

While the quarterback situation is still a bit fluid with the Cleveland Browns, we like this landing spot for Casey Concepcion. He has an opportunity to immediately become the best receiver on the Browns offense, and play-caller Todd Monken has a proven track record of finding ways to get the football in the hands of his playmakers. As a rookie, we could also see Cleveland take advantage of his explosiveness as a returner. Our guess is that Concepcion will become a risk-reward WR3 this upcoming season and, in the long term, if he cleans up the downs and gets a great quarterback, he could be a high-end WR2.

Omar Cooper Jr., WR, New York Jets

Reporting in the weeks leading up to the 2026 NFL Draft made it clear that the New York Jets were relying heavily on Omar Cooper Jr. Sure enough, they moved late in Round 1 to stop him. The NFL comparisons to Deebo Samuel are legitimate; Cooper offers attractive YAC ability at 6 feet tall, and defensive backs have a tough task bringing him down. He’s also running in a situation where Garrett Wilson and Kenyon Saadiq will already draw defenders away, creating more open space for Cooper to operate. He profiles as a low-end WR3 in fantasy for the 2026 season, but there is a very real long-term benefit to him being a strong WR2.

Jadarion Price, RB, Seattle Seahawks

Jadarion Price has certainly landed in a relatively favorable spot from a fantasy football perspective. Zach Charbonnet faces a long recovery from ACL surgery in January, and Emmanuel Wilson isn’t much of a depth prospect. Price entered the NFL with minimal tread on tires, handling only 295 career touches in three seasons at Notre Dame. He averaged more than 6 yards per carry in each of his previous seasons and scored a total of 20 scrimmage touchdowns on 243 attempts. The approach he brings bodes well for immediate success, and a clear path to a leading role in the Seahawks’ offense. However, his current limitations at third in PPR scoring impact his value. For now, he projects as a low-end RB2 in 2026 with more solid flex play.

The Arizona Cardinals delivered the first mini-surprise of the 2026 NFL Draft, selecting Notre Dame star running back Jeremiah Love with the third overall pick in the first round. While love can help overcome crime without recognition, it also means James Connor’s days in Arizona are numbered.

Now that Love is the undisputed RB1 in Arizona, let’s evaluate some potential trade destinations for Connor, who is a two-time Pro Bowler and has a pair of 1,000-yard seasons to his name.

The Chargers believe they have their RB of the future in last year’s first-round selection Omarion Hampton. They also brought in a fast bowler in the form of Keaton Mitchell. Still, a Harbaugh team can never have enough running backs, and Connor is a proven bruiser who is one of the NFL’s toughest players. It will fit perfectly with the bolt.

jacksonville jaguars

The Jaguars let Travis Etienne sign with the Saints this offseason, and 2025 fourth-round pick Fearshul Tuten may not be ready for a major role. Hopefully the Jaguars add a RB in the next two days, but if not, why not consider trading a draft pick on day three for a proven stopgap like Connor? He is just a year removed from a 1,094-yard, 8 TD season. At the very least, it will buy the Jaguars longer to find a long-term solution.

las vegas raiders

Ashton Jeanty is the future of the Raiders. Still, after a tough rookie season, Las Vegas likely wants to boost the competition in their RB room. Jeanty will undoubtedly still be the starter, but having a veteran like Connor, who has had to work tirelessly to earn and keep his role, could be invaluable to a young athlete like Jeanty.

Javonte Williams is the Cowboys’ lead back after a 1,200-yard season. But after that? There are some deep questions in Dallas. The Cowboys have four other guys on the roster, clearly trying to find a reliable backup and potentially a future RB1. Connor won’t be the RB1 of the future, but he will erase any doubt about the Cowboys having enough stuff to get the job done in the RB room.

George Pickens’ future in Dallas is no longer a sure thing. After quieting his doubters and improving his reputation with a breakout season for the Cowboys in 2025, owner and general manager Jerry Jones insisted for weeks that locking up the receiver to a long-term deal was inevitable. Well, that can’t happen now.

On Wednesday, ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter claimed in an episode Rise That “They’re nowhere with George Pickens at this point. Nowhere. They’re not really talking about an extension.” Later in the day, Cowboys COO Stephen Jones told Dallas media, “There will be no negotiations on a long-term deal,” and the pass catcher will play on his $27.3 million franchise tag next season.

This has led to much speculation that the team may consider moving Pickens during the NFL Draft, specifically in Round 1. If he makes that bold move, let’s take a look at five teams that could acquire the player who posted 93 catches, 1,429 receiving yards and nine touchdowns in 2025.

Arizona Cardinals

There’s a lot of talk that Dallas would prefer to move up to No. 3 and select David Bailey or Arvel Reese — or whoever the New York Jets don’t take at No. 2. Either could be a long-term solution to fill the gap left in the pass rush after trading Micah Parsons last year.

However, some question whether the ‘Guys, giving up their picks at Nos. 12 and 20, will be tempting to the Arizona Cardinals. But if they offer Pickens and the No. 20 pick as well as the third-day pick, it could be enough. While the Cards have a messy QB situation, the combo of Pickens and Marvin Harrison Jr. will be good weapons for their signal-caller in 2026 and beyond.

New York Jets

The Cowboys could also try to move up to No. 2 as rumors have been swirling for weeks that the Jets are willing to trade down.

New York coach Aaron Glenn is feeling a lot of pressure to perform better in 2026 or he may be fired. They have high expectations for veteran QB Geno Smith. So getting another big weapon like Pickens could potentially lead to a drastic change in the offense next season. Dallas could benefit from Glenn’s frustration and get whoever they want at No. 2.

The Los Angeles Chargers are looking to take another big step forward in Year 2 under head coach Jim Harbaugh. They lack a game-breaker receiver in 2025. If Pickens were acquired he could help elevate them into a true Super Bowl contender. Due to the impact Pickens can have on offensive coordinator Mike McDaniels’ system, LA may be willing to drop their pick at 22 for the receiver and give him an extension to serve as Justin Herbert’s WR1 for years to come.

Los Angeles Rams

At the beginning of the offseason, the Los Angeles Rams showed they were fully prepared to finish their Super Bowl story when they gave up the No. 29 pick in Round 1 to the Kansas City Chiefs for All-Pro Trent McDuffie. Reports linked him to a possible trade for Philadelphia Eagles star AJ Brown last month. However, they backed out of a deal.

Would LA be willing to give up their pick at 13 in Round 1 for Pickens? Probably not. However, a deal that sends pick No. 13 and Davante Adams to Dallas for Pickens, pick 20, and a third-rounder could be possible. The Cowboys will have picks 12 and 13 in Round 1, as well as a good replacement for Pickens. While the Rams make a lethal WR duo for reigning MVP Matthew Stafford next season.

Another team that can’t be ruled out in the potential George Pickens trade market is the New England Patriots. They desperately need a young receiver if they hope to have a real chance to get back to the Super Bowl next season.

They are among the teams interested in AJ Brown. However, it may cost two first-round picks. Giving up their pick at No. 31 on Thursday night, plus a third-rounder, could be enough to get them the WR1 Drake Mays wants.

Lucas Giolito entered the offseason as one of the better starting pitchers available in MLB free agency outside of high-cost arms. He remains a free agent about a month into the 2026 season, but that could change soon.

MLB insider Robert Murray wrote for FanSided that he believes the San Diego Padres are the best fit for Giolito. San Diego is also one of two clubs that were recently linked to the veteran hurler.

San Diego is currently operating with a bit of a patchwork rotation. German Marquez and Walker Buehler have been placed in roles as back-end starters, with both veterans facing even more pressure to pitch innings now that Nick Pivetta has joined Joe Musgrove on the injured list.

Unfortunately for San Diego, the return timeline for neither Pivetta nor Musgrove is promising. Pivetta, who started on Opening Day, has been diagnosed with a flexor strain that will keep him from throwing for at least a month. There is no timetable for his return and he may not be able to pitch again in 2026.

Musgrove, who missed all of last season while recovering from Tommy John surgery, initially looked like he might rejoin the Padres rotation in late May. However, the club reported that he was in “a bit of a holding pattern” in early March and a month later he still has not pitched off a mound.

Giolito, who pitched 145 innings for the Boston Red Sox last season, recently said he has increased his pitch count to 75 pitches so far. However, given the poor track record of starting pitchers signing at the end of the season, it would be a risk for San Diego to sign him as well.

It looks like the Kentucky Wildcats are on the verge of a major coup after an update on their search for the No. 1 high school recruit in the country.

After going 24-12 in his first season replacing coaching veteran John Calipari, Kentucky head coach Mark Pope is feeling the pressure. In 2025–26, the Wildcats finished with a 22–14 record and 10–8 mark in the SEC. In the NCAA Tournament, they barely surprised Santa Clara in the opening round, then lost badly to Iowa State in the round of 32.

Their results last season have led to speculation that Pope may not be able to maintain the very high standard of the powerhouse program. The coach now must perform well in the transfer portal and add to a roster that makes significant progress next season. However, the portal isn’t the only way to improve the roster for next season.

This past season showed how impactful a star freshman can be. Duke’s Cam Boozer, Arkansas’ Darius Acuff Jr., Kansas’ Darrin Peterson, and BYU’s AJ DiBuntsa all had huge years in their collegiate debuts. Recruit Tyrann Stokes has the potential to do the same in 2026-27, and the Wildcats are ready to meet him soon.

The coaching staff has changed little since his first visit to campus, and it seems likely the Wildcats will try to sell him based on the improvements he has made.

The Rainier Beach High School product is viewed by many basketball analysts as the No. 1 recruit in the country. Yet, despite being near the start of his collegiate career, he has not committed to any program. Kentucky, Kansas and Oregon, along with other schools, are believed to be trying hard to land him.

The 6-foot-7 forward is very athletic and looks like a natural power forward. However, he is an effective ball handler and can lead the attack. During his senior season, he averaged 35 points and 14 boards a game.

Flori Bidunga is the top college basketball player in the NCAA transfer portal. Coming off a breakout season with the Kansas Jayhawks, Bidunga is an elite defensive anchor and high-efficiency finisher known for his incredible shot-blocking and explosive athleticism. The 20-year-old is dominant in the paint, shooting 64% from the field.

During the 2025–26 season, Bidunga averaged 13.3 points, 9.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 2.6 blocks per game. The 6-foot-10 standout finished seventh with a 64.0 field goal percentage while playing 31.6 minutes per match. Needless to say, Bidunga is going to demand a hefty price in the NCAA transfer portal.

The St. Louis Blues could trade Robert Thomas before Friday’s NHL trade deadline. With St. Louis out of the playoff race, Thomas is in trade talks, and the possibility of him playing in a new city is increasing. The 26-year-old center may be the best NHL player to be traded this week.

The Detroit Red Wings are one of the few teams that has the assets and need for Thomas. Detroit could use two first-round picks with Nate Danielson or Marco Casper. The Boston Bruins could use some more help at center as their push for the Stanley Cup playoffs continues in March. At 38 years old, the Florida goaltender hasn’t been as sharp during the 2025-26 NHL season, but joining a team more capable of making the playoffs could improve his game.

The Edmonton Oilers need a goaltender, whether it’s Sergei Bobrovsky or someone else. Bobrowski is known for leveling up in the playoffs, and he can lead Edmonton to the Stanley Cup.

The Montreal Canadiens could use an upgrade in their goaltending room before the NHL trade deadline. Jacob Fowler is considered a long-term option at goaltender, but Bobrowski would give Montreal a short-term boost. This will still preserve the crease for the future. The Denver Nuggets visit the Golden State Warriors on Sunday afternoon looking to build on the massive 157-point performance they scored against the Portland Trail Blazers last time out. However, while they have plenty of absent players to deal with, the Nuggets will be up against a team that is missing its best players.

According to the official injury report, Jamal Murray is on the injury report along with several Nuggets rotation players, with the star guard initially listed as questionable due to a hamstring issue. Murray has since been upgraded to available, but Denver will be without standouts Aaron Gordon and Peyton Watson.

However, the Golden State Warriors have bigger concerns of their own, with Stephen Curry confirmed to be out along with Jimmy Butler and Kristaps Porzingis.

Murray was listed as doubtful until just before tip-off, so his status will be monitored. The first-time All-Stars played on both ends of a back-to-back coming out of the recent All-Star break.

Murray is averaging 25.7 points, 7.6 assists and 4.5 rebounds, while posting an elite 61.5 true shooting percentage. His importance has increased even more without Nikola Jokic, with Murray upping his production to 27.8 points and 8.3 assists in 12 games.

Denver enters the game at 36-21 and the No. 3 seed with a strong road record of 21-10, while Golden State is 29-27 and struggling without Stephen Curry.

As if their coaching and GM changes weren’t enough, the Miami Dolphins are making roster changes that ensure the team will have a much different look in 2026. Tyreek Hill has already been released. The Dolphins also released pass-rusher Bradley Chubb on Monday.

Chicago Bears

The Bears have championship aspirations with Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams. Still, without improving on a pass-rush that has the fourth-fewest sacks in 2025, the Bears won’t have a chance. One way to fix this is to sign two-time Pro Bowl pass-rusher Bradley Chubb. The 29-year-old tore his ACL in 2024, but he bounced back with an 8.5 sack season in 2025. It would have ranked as second-best in Chicago, and that would certainly have given the Bears a boost.

The Patriots did not need an excellent pass-rush to reach the Super Bowl, but not having a better pass-rush could have cost them the win. Generating more consistent pressure is vital to New England’s future success, and Chubb can help get the job done.

atlanta falcons

The Falcons finally found a way to generate a pass-rush last season, but James Pierce’s future in Atlanta may be in question after getting into trouble with the law. If the Falcons need someone to step up in his potential absence, Chubb, a Georgia native, could be an ideal option.

kansas city chiefs

Chubb has played seven seasons since being made the fifth overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, but he has only played in one playoff game. He came back in 2022. If Chubb is prioritizing a chance to get back to the playoffs, he might be taking a gamble on getting back on track in Kansas City. They will also get a chance to face their old team (Broncos) twice per season.

dallas cowboys

The Cowboys traded away one of the NFL’s best pass-rushers just before the start of last season. They will find it difficult to replace him. Dallas had the seventh-fewest sacks since rebuilding its defense in 2025. Dallas may have a defensive tackle they need to regain the lead. Chubb has double-digit sacks in two seasons, and with Quinnen Williams next to him, he could get there again in Dallas.

In a move that was largely expected this offseason, the Miami Dolphins released Tyreek Hill on Monday. Now the eight-time Pro Bowl wide receiver is free to sign with any team of his choice, and unlike many other players who will be available after this offseason, he will not have to wait until free agency begins on March 11.

Hill can sign with a team right now. Since he is 31 years old and coming off a torn ACL, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him land with a contender or a team with a great passing attack. Below, we evaluate five of the best landing spots for the five-time All-Pro.

new England Patriots

The Patriots didn’t win the Super Bowl, but maybe with a little more help they can achieve their goal next season. Fixing the offensive line will be a priority. If the Patriots can do that, they should consider adding another weapon to their offense. Hill could get additional motivation from playing for the Patriots, where he will have to face his former team twice per season in the AFC East, plus catching passes from Drake Mays could be a special experience.

Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens may intimidate Hill because not only are they a run-first team, but their receivers are also expected to contribute as run-blockers. He’s not known for his blocking, but Hill would help bring even more pace to a Ravens offense that could use another playmaker to help take pressure off two-time NFL MVP Lamar Jackson.

Eric Bieniemy is returning to the Chiefs this offseason, so maybe it’s time to consider a reunion with Tyreek Hill as well. After all, he recorded 1,000-yard seasons in four of his six years in Kansas City, helping them win a Super Bowl in the process. While the Chiefs traded away Hill after 2021, it became too expensive to continue winning championships with him, but now that he is recovering from a torn ACL and knee dislocation, the 10-year pro would agree to a significantly lower rate.

buffalo bill

It’s clear the Bills need to get some more help from Josh Allen. A zone-wide threat like Hill will certainly open up the field, preventing defenders from crowding the box against Buffalo. With Hill running deep routes and Allen and James Cook keeping defenders honest at the line of scrimmage, the Bills will be extremely difficult to defend.

los angeles chargers

Hill’s former head coach, Mike McDaniel, signed on as the Chargers’ offensive coordinator/playcaller. This makes the Chargers clearly the perfect fit for Hill to follow him to Los Angeles. Hill had two seasons with over 1,700 receiving yards in McDaniel’s offenses, including leading the NFL in receiving yards in 2023. We don’t understand why they wouldn’t want to work together again. Unless the Chargers are looking for better run blockers than their receivers, Hill may have to find work elsewhere.

Teams around the National Football League that are in the market for starting potential this offseason will have quite a few options. While the best class of running backs in free agency doesn’t offer Derrick Henry or Saquon Barkley-caliber talent, there are several 1,000-yard rushers this spring.

Let’s dive into our NFL offseason predictions to see where the top running backs end up in NFL free agency.

Travis Etienne: Arizona Cardinals

Travis Etienne is not returning to the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2026. The club is currently projected to be over the cap hit by $11 million and has more pressing needs than its former first-round pick, especially with the emergence of the fearsome Tuten. While the Kansas City Chiefs are a popular landing spot for Etienne, we don’t see Brett Veach involved in a bidding war for one of the top running backs in NFL free agency. However, it feels like the Arizona Cardinals would be willing to make a move. Arizona may not be able to find itself a viable starting quarterback this offseason, but it could improve its rushing attack. The move here would be to sign Etienne to take over as the RB1, with Trey Benson as a complementary unit, and use the third overall pick on an offensive tackle to improve the run blocking for Etienne.

Javonte Williams: Dallas Cowboys

A return to the Dallas Cowboys seems inevitable for Javonte Williams. He found a home in the Dallas offense last season, delivering a career year with over 1,300 scrimmage yards and 13 total touchdowns, while averaging 4.8 yards per carry. Given the number of starting running backs available, he won’t necessarily get a big payday on the open market, so he can stick with the system in which he has excelled. We could see the two sides agree to a two-year deal worth around $7 million per season, which would provide a viable path for Dallas to exit the contract in 2027 with a small dead cap hit.

Kenneth Walker III: Seattle Seahawks

Even if you take away the Super Bowl MVP, Kenneth Walker led the Seattle Seahawks’ offense and looked like one of the best running backs in the NFL during the playoffs. Using the franchise tag on him isn’t a bad idea, even if the cost is around $14.5 million fully guaranteed for the 2026 season. However, we suspect Seattle will use the transition tag to see what extraordinary the market is willing to offer. Ultimately, with the potential equalizing, we expect Walker to return to Seattle next season.

Rico Dowdle: Houston Texans

After rushing for 1,000 yards and averaging 4.6 yards per carry in 2024 with Dallas, running back Rico Dowdle had to settle on a one-year deal with the Carolina Panthers for the 2025 NFL season. He began the campaign as a backup before posting an electric five-game stretch—650 rushing yards (130.4 rush ypg) and 6.3 ypc—that saw him inserted into Carolina’s offense. However, Dowdle finished the regular season averaging just 3.2 yards per carry and 42.6 rushing yards per game in his final eight contests. He will have to settle for another one-year deal in NFL free agency. We like the Houston Texans as a fit, where Dowdle would have an opportunity to challenge Woody Marks for the starting job and at least be the 1B in the backfield committee.

Breece Hall: Washington Commanders

There are already NFL rumors circulating this offseason that the Washington Commanders intend to spend big. One way that general manager Adam Peters can support third-year quarterback Jayden Daniels is by providing him with a top-tier running back. Breece Hall’s three-down skill set will be a nice complement to Washington’s offense, giving Daniels a reliable checkdown option with elite YAC ability and a perennial 1,000-yard rusher who can handle 16-20 touches per game. Hall gets paid and it would be easy to see how this gives him a chance to finally play for a contender.
