Brittany Mahomes and Patrick Mahomes turned Mother’s Day into a full-on family tailgate, bringing daughters Sterling Skye and Golden Ray along with son Patrick “Bronze” Mahomes III. To support the Kansas City Current during their clash against Chicago Stars FC.

The Current and Brittney put out a joint Instagram post showing Mahomes’ starting lineup in KC Current gear, held up from the stands at CPKC Stadium. The caption read: “Another Mahomes Mother’s Day 🥹 Co-owners @britanylynne and @patrickmahomes enjoying the dub at home 🤗.”

And “dub” was the perfect call. Temwa Chawinga completely cooked Chicago’s defense, needing only 27 minutes in the first half to complete a hat trick and put the match into blowout territory before halftime. By the time the reigning NWSL MVP checked out in the 77th minute, the game was well into the red.

Brittany has been a part of Patrick’s Corner since her high school days and has made her own mark in the sports world. After playing pro soccer in Iceland, she became one of the loudest supporters of women’s sports. He also helped bring major investment and visibility to the NWSL through his ownership of the KC Current.

The Mahomes duo joined the club’s ownership group in December 2020. But they moved up the chain for women’s football with a reported $275 million investment in a new professional league last year.

Earlier in the week, Patrick also provided some father-son representation with a bronze medal while watching the Kansas City Royals win over the Detroit Tigers at Kauffman Stadium. The Chiefs superstar reportedly owns a one percent stake in the Royals organization and still has a foot in the baseball world thanks to his family’s roots in the sport.
