Young notably left Adidas in 2024 after releasing three eponymous signature silhouettes with the brand.

Launching in July 2025, the Air Jordan 40 is the newest and most updated iteration of the longest-running signature sneaker line in history. Designed with all the technologies that were not available to Michael Jordan during his playing days, the Jordan 40 is meant to represent the elite talent of the modern game.

In recent years, the Washington Wizards have made a concerted effort to return their classic gold jerseys from the 2006–2009 season. Giving fans a taste of nostalgia, the franchise announced that the uniform will return in the form of the 25-26 Nike City Edition kit and it has already been seen several times. Trae Young made his Wizards debut with a classic uniform, matching the gleaming gold uniform with an all-copper Air Jordan 40.

The “Metallic Copper” Air Jordan 40 features a shiny copper leather upper, contrasted by a flat black sole and black laces. The colorway was launched by Jordan Brand but quickly sold out due to high demand, but the shoes are available in the aftermarket at close to their original retail price.

On Sunday afternoon, the Boston Celtics continued their winning ways with a relatively comfortable road win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. It was the second game back from an Achilles injury for star Jayson Tatum, who scored 20 points in a defensive clinic for Boston.

Before tipoff, Cavs star James Harden hugged Tatum as he took the stage, and ESPN cameras caught Harden’s kind message to the Celtics star.

Tatum completed one of the quickest recoveries from an Achilles injury the NBA has ever seen, suffered during Boston’s playoff loss to the New York Knicks last May.

In his absence this season, the Celtics have been one of the most surprising stories in the NBA, currently sitting in the number two spot in the Eastern Conference, with Jaylen Brown receiving some minor consideration for the league MVP award for his play so far this year.

However, any legitimate chance the Celtics have to compete for a second championship in the modern era depends on the health of Tatum, who has looked solid so far in his two games since returning from injury. Although efficiency and explosiveness will need some time to return, Tatum’s shooting form certainly looks smoother than before the setback, and he has shown little hesitation in putting the ball on the floor and looking for his shot.

He also looks to be able to move his feet relatively well on the defensive end of the floor, even though it may take him some time to fully regain his athletic ability and burst.

The Orlando Magic turned in a franchise-record shooting performance Thursday night, but it was veteran guard Javon Carter who received strong praise from head coach Jamahl Mosley after a 131-94 win over the Sacramento Kings.

Orlando drained 27 3-pointers in the win, setting a new franchise mark. Carter, playing in his second game since signing with the team after the trade deadline more than two weeks ago, produced his best performance in a Magic uniform. The 30-year-old finished with 14 points, four assists, three rebounds and one steal in 23 minutes off the bench. He made 5 of 8 shots from the field, 3 of 5 from 3-point range and added one free throw, leading to a team-high plus-34 rating.

Carter joined Orlando after being waived by the Chicago Bulls in early February. The Magic immediately added the veteran guard, valuing his defensive intensity and experience.

Mosley said Carter’s impact was immediate.

“He’s about the right things. He’s about winning, he’s about the team, he’s about playing the right way and you saw that as soon as he stepped on the court, the whole court got up, talking to the crowd, getting people in the right spots, making shots with confidence,” Mosley said.

Star forward Paolo Banchero, who led Orlando with 30 points, six assists, five rebounds, one steal and one block, echoed that sentiment. Banchero shot 10 of 21 from the field, 5 of 7 from beyond the arc and 5 of 5 from the free-throw line in 32 minutes.

“Just his energy — his energy, his voice, obviously his play, he’s active on defense, shot maker on offense, he tries to make the right play as a point guard,” Banchero said. “I think he fits really well into what we do… He’s a guy who has been in the league [for] She has a great attitude in a little while and is encouraging her to continue using her voice.”

Carter credited the team’s historic shooting night to unselfish play.

Bryant jumped off the floor and performed what might have been the best dunk of the night. Unfortunately, he missed a sure chance of winning the competition and was forced to settle for second place. The former Arizona talent can still take great pride in posting a perfect score.

Bryant still has a lot to learn, but he’s already making remarkable progress in his first NBA season. The New York Knicks have officially added fourth-year forward Jeremy Sochan to their roster. After clearing waivers on Friday, the former San Antonio Spurs athlete agreed to terms to fill New York’s 15th roster spot.

Sochan commented on the team’s announcement on X (formerly Twitter) with just two words, “Bing Bong!” , which was a playful reference to the franchise’s fan-favorite slogan and catchphrase.

The No. 9 overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft from Baylor joins a Knicks team that currently sits in third place in the Eastern Conference with a 35-20 record behind the Boston Celtics (35-19) and Detroit Pistons (40-13). The signing comes as New York looks to strengthen its bench ahead of an intense playoff push in a largely comparatively weak Eastern Conference season.

A versatile forward renowned for his defensive skills and ballhandling, Sochan played 212 games over four seasons with the Spurs, averaging 10.4 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game. He started 149 contests and averaged 27.3 minutes per game over his first three seasons. However, his role diminished this year, appearing in only 28 games and averaging career highs of 4.1 points and 2.6 rebounds in 12.8 minutes per outing.

San Antonio agreed to waive the 22-year-old after failing to find a trade before the February 5 deadline. Following the waiver process, 10 teams reportedly expressed interest in signing Sochan, with the Knicks emerging as the frontrunner. New York’s roster flexibility, aided by recent moves including the trades of Gershon Yabusele and the acquisition of guard Jose Alvarado, allowed the team to absorb Sochan’s proportionate veteran minimum contract without exceeding the NBA’s second-apron hard cap. Alvarado has since averaged 14.0 points, 3.7 assists and 2.3 steals in three games, giving the Knicks another boost at guard.

Now with the Knicks, his second career team, Sochan will be eligible for the playoffs as he was waived well before the March 1 deadline. Although unlikely to see heavy minutes, his presence provides insurance in the frontcourt and adds depth to a team aiming for a championship run.
