Tottenham’s Guglielmo Vicario and Aston Villa’s Emi Martínez have not had an easy last few months at their clubs.

Vicario will clearly have more suitors in Italy, as he performed quite well during his time at Empoli. Furthermore, he is close to becoming the Azzurri’s back-up to Gianluigi Donnarumma and that helps his situation.

Martínez is older and, at 33, a new challenge in Serie A, especially on higher wages, could prove risky for contenders.
