Aston Villa The interest in Jény Catamo now makes even more sense as the market for the Sporting CP winger continues to grow rapidly in Portugal.

Sporting is demanding more now

In recent months, Portuguese reports repeatedly suggested that Catamo could be leaving. Somewhere between €20m-€30m (£17m-£26m).

Now A Bola says Sporting wants a fee close to the winger’s €60m (£51m) release clause.

The reason is simple: the value of Catamo has exploded.

His numbers have improved every season. In 2023/24, he scored six goals and five assists. The following year he scored seven goals and three assists. This season has been his strongest to date, with eight goals and four assists in 47 games.

His Champions League performance took things even further. One Bola particularly highlights is Sporting’s 2-1 win over PSG, where Luis Suarez scored twice but Catamo was seen internally as one of the biggest difference-makers on the pitch.

Despite momentarily losing cool, the Knicks turned that energy into a narrow 93-92 victory at Barclays Center. Karl-Anthony Towns once again proved why he was missing for this roster, finishing the night with a dominant double-double of 26 points and 15 rebounds. Towns took control of the glass and scored timely buckets whenever Brooklyn threatened to pull away. Jalen Brunson added 17 points and eight assists, navigating a dangerous Nets defense to keep the game within a single possession until the final minute.

For the Nets, Josh Minot led the team with 22 points, showing his elite shot-making ability, while Claxton finished with eight points and seven rebounds before late-game drama. Ultimately, New York’s veteran patience allowed them to escape with the victory. The win moves the Knicks ahead in the Eastern Conference standings, while the Nets continue to show they can hang with the heavyweights even in a losing effort.

On Wednesday night, DeRozan once again moved up one spot on the NBA’s all-time scoring list, passing former San Antonio Spurs superstar big man Tim Duncan for 18th. DeRozan entered Wednesday’s game against the Charlotte Hornets at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento with the league leading 26,466 career points, 30 points behind Duncan.

Six-time NBA All-Star DeRozan scored 39 points against the Hornets and surpassed Duncan in scoring by dropping 39 points on the Hornets.

DeRozan got by Duncan with a jumper with less than three minutes remaining in the third period.

The 36-year-old DeRozan did most of the damage, where he always does. He made 17 of 22 shots from the field, and all but one of those attempts came from behind the arc. DeRozan also hit all five of his free throws.

Unfortunately for DeRozan, his big scoring night was ruined in a 117–109 loss. He couldn’t beat Charlotte alone, four Hornets scored at least 20 points, led by LaMelo Ball, who had 24. While the Kings shot just 8-for-25 from deep, the Hornets drained 19 3-pointers on 40 attempts.

The loss put Sacramento back in the loss column after enjoying a two-game winning streak.

At 16-51, the Kings don’t have to plan for the NBA Playoffs, but that won’t stop DeRozan from going to work and scoring points, as he has done throughout his career.

DeRozan and the Kings next match up this Saturday in Inglewood against Kawhi Leonard and the Los Angeles Clippers.

Even now, despite an entertaining debut on WWE Raw this week, there are still some fans unhappy with his inclusion. Especially after former NJPW main event David Finlay signed with AEW because they received a better offer in free agency. Well, it looks like a top star was a big force behind the signing.

CM Punk behind WWE signing Danhausen?

According to the Wrestling Observer, current World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk is pushing WWE decision makers to sign Danhausen.

The pair became friendly when the two shared a locker room in AEW and appeared in some funny videos at conventions during that time. The friendship continued after Punk left AEW in 2023, and they even made some video content together last year despite contracts with rival companies.

Only time will tell if the signing works out for WWE or not. So far, reports say the company is already happy with how well Danhausen’s merchandise has performed since its mixed debut. Still, it shows what kind of influence the Heavyweight Champion has in the promotion.
