“Last thing we need” – Aston Villa star accused of negligence, this needs to end quickly

youri tielemans

Aston Villa star Youri Tielemans has been warned to step up his consideration for Belgium after a disappointing display in the 5-2 defeat to the United States.

criticism comes Importance of Limburg and analyst Justin OdgersWho did not hold back in assessing this week’s moment.

Tielemans was introduced from the bench against the United States, but his cameo was unimpressive.

With Belgium already suffering a chaotic, goal-heavy defeat, Sene Lammens played the ball into Tielemans in the penalty area. The Aston Villa midfielder hesitated for a second, which was long enough for the United States to take the lead and make the score 2–5.

“Purely due to Youri Tielemans’ negligence”

It was an uncharacteristic miss to say the least for a 28-year-old and experienced player.

For Odgers, this was a worrying sign ahead of the World Cup. She didn’t hold back when assessing that moment in Het Belang van Limburg.

“The gift of the goal we conceded against Team USA is the last thing we need at the World Cup,” He said.

“That second goal that was conceded was entirely down to Youri Tielemans’ carelessness. We should have expected a bit more focus from someone with his track record.

“Even if it was ‘only’ a friendly. Things like this need to go away so we can go into the World Cup with peace of mind.”

Agent’s comments backfired

What makes it worse for Youri Tielemans is that the mistake comes after Comments from his agent last week.

Questions were raised about the Aston Villa star’s participation this break as he has not returned from a long-term injury layoff.

His agent Bob Claes answered these questions and insisted that Tielemans is determined to be part of the group because of the standards he sets as captain.

“Yuri has set the bar high,” He said.

“In terms of standards and values. In terms of work ethic. And in terms of intelligence. A dream to work with. Yuri seeks continuous improvement but is also open to dialogue.”

A warning before the World Cup

Those comments seem a bit unfortunate now. Youri Tielemans’ quality is undeniable, but with competition for midfield places intensifying, mistakes like this are magnified.

Belgium will not panic yet. But they will be expecting more from their captain and Premier League star ahead of the World Cup this summer.

If he’s setting the tone, as his agent has said, it’s not what he was aiming for, that’s for sure.

LA legend’s funny reaction to how quickly Luka Doncic made his mark

Los Angeles Lakers superstar Luka Doncic is making impossible looks a regular thing. Since arriving in Southern California, the Slovenian maestro has been in a statistical crisis that is leaving franchise icons in a state of disbelief.

After his latest masterclass, Doncic has officially tied Hall of Famer James Worthy for most 30-point games in a Lakers uniform with 52. While reaching that mark is an accomplishment for anyone, the speed at which Doncic did so stunned “Big Game James.” During a postgame segment on Spectrum SportsNet, Worthy couldn’t help but laugh at the absurdity of the motion.

“It took me 14 years!” Worthy joked, apparently surprised by how quickly the 27-year-old erased the mark that took the veteran more than a decade to establish.

This milestone comes after one of the most impressive weeks in recent memory for the Purple and Gold. On March 12, Doncic led the Chicago Bulls to a season-high 51 points in a 142–130 win. He shot an impressive 17 of 31 from the field and added 10 rebounds and nine assists, falling just one assist short of a triple-double. He then dropped 30 points, 13 assists and 11 rebounds in a 127–125 overtime victory against the Denver Nuggets on March 14, even hitting the go-ahead jumper in the closing seconds.

Currently leading the NBA in scoring with 32.8 points per game, Doncic has completely transformed the Lakers’ offense since the blockbuster trade that brought him from the Dallas Mavericks. While legends like Worthy and LeBron James have seen it all, Doncic continues to find new ways to surprise the veterans. For Worth, seeing his own record fall so quickly is part of the “Luka Magic” experience. As the Lakers push for the top seed in the Western Conference, Doncic is rewriting the history books in real time.

Golden State turned the page quickly after a crushing defeat to the Bulls.

SAN FRANCISCO – Back-to-back losses to two actively trying teams are hard to swallow. But that’s what the Golden State Warriors will have to do after losing 130-124 to the Chicago Bulls in overtime.

The Warriors led by eight with 91 seconds left in regulation, but their performance fizzled out at the end of the game in the final seconds of overtime.

“We couldn’t finish it off,” Kerr said bluntly after the game. “They got two free throws with one second left, and they were able to send it to overtime. And then they were the better team in OT.”

The reason the Bulls got to OT were two mistakes by the Warriors. Two-way rookie LJ Cryer missed a free throw with a chance to give Golden State three points, opening the door for Bulls center Jalen Smith to knock down two free throws to tie the game after Draymond Green fouled him with his hand on his hip as he caught a pass in the corner.

From there, as Kerr said, Chicago attacked the Warriors in overtime. Matas Buzelis finished with a career-high 41 points with a dagger three with 2:20 left in OT, while Josh Giddy topped the scoring with a 21-point, 13-rebound, 17-assist triple-double.

But despite a stellar performance from the Bulls’ young core, the loss was caused by Green’s uncharacteristic mistake at the end of regulation. When Kerr was asked what happened on Green’s mistake, he took responsibility for his mistake.

“It was a foul. I saw the replay, and I’m convinced.” [Green would] Love getting it back. Just his hand fell in the wrong place. And [it] This would have been a tough shot for Smith to hit. And Dre knows he just needs to challenge [Smith]. He was in a difficult situation. He did not play the entire fourth quarter. And then I threw him out there for some defensive possessions, because I know how good he is on that end, but he wasn’t exactly loose and in flow. And I’m sure that didn’t help the case.”

Defensive woes plague Golden State

Still, the Warriors said they haven’t lost a game in a game or two. After the game, Pat Spencer pointed to their defensive issues and how Chicago controlled the flow of the game.

“We were a little soft on the ball,” Spencer said. “Think they’re very smart, and I think if we’re being honest, they didn’t have a group of guys that typically knocked down the three ball at a high rate. They still didn’t shoot that well. It felt like we were a little passive on that side. They’ve got some guys that can create a little bit. It felt like they played at their pace most of the night.”

Golden State lost 64-49 on the boards, holding the Bulls to 20 offensive rebounds. Buzzellis and Giddy got where they wanted, usually breaking down the Warriors’ shell and getting into the paint.

However, it is not that the Warriors did not work hard. While Cryer missed crucial free throws, he finished with 17 points on 3-of-5 from deep. Spencer himself was +18 plus/minus with 17 points and six assists as he led the Dubs’ leads in the third and fourth quarters. They even got a strong game from Kristaps Porzingis, with the big man collecting 17 points and four blocks in his third game with the Warriors. Porzingis got the crowd at Chase Center going when he hit a big three on the wing to cap a 12-0 run late in the third.

But ultimately, the Dubs lost, and that loss on their tab erases any good they did. This is the defeat of a team in the middle of a tank, which had previously lost to a team Fined By the league for tanking.

It doesn’t help that the Warriors are injured, no Steph Curry, no Jimmy Butler, and Moses Moody and De’Anthony Melton are out. But this kind of defeat is devastating for a team trying to survive.

how warriors move forward

With Golden State falling to 32-33 on the season, he hasn’t had time to nurse his wounds. They are in danger of falling far behind the Clippers, who passed them for the eighth seed this week. The Warriors are currently in ninth place, where they need to win two consecutive games to make it to the playoffs. They’ll get an update on Curry’s knee on Wednesday, but in all likelihood they’ll have to do without him when they get him up.

Gary Payton II said, “We can’t feel sorry for ourselves. We know if we play the right way we can be ahead in any game.” “Bus [got to] Finish the season strong. Like I said, late, late in the second half, you know, clear up some mental things. “And I think we’ll put ourselves in a great position to close out the game.”

The Warriors’ optimism still remains. The high end of what this team can be, like the upset over the Houston Rockets, gives them confidence. But consecutive losses to tanking teams shows where the Warriors are at this season. Barely stepping into the water with a faint hope that their star might return in time to save them.

Manager urges move quickly for West Ham star – it’s already too late

Ronald Koeman has been warned to act quickly to prevent the Netherlands from losing West Ham United star Crescencio Somerville.

Soccer News today covered the comments from journalists Valentijn Driessen and Jeroen Kapteijns. The pair believe Somerville should now be in the Netherlands squad.

Somerville has been the undisputed star of the show for West Ham this season, especially under Nuno Espirito Santo.

west ham’s star man

The 24-year-old has made huge strides after a disappointing debut season at the London Stadium last year. He managed just one goal and two assists in 22 games last season, with less than 1,000 minutes on the clock.

This season he is already on six goals and four assists in 23 games and 1755 minutes. At least it can be said that there is rapid improvement across the board. In fact, 2026 has been a productive year so far as he has managed to score four goals and one assist in seven games.

The 1–1 draw with Manchester United was his first match in which he remained blank since a 3–0 defeat to Wolves on 3 January.third.

However, he is yet to play for the Netherlands. The West Ham star has played for them at every level from U16 to U21, last returning in 2021.

There have been suggestions that they could be surprisingly included, Which was covered by Sport Witness in January. This was before his current form.

suriname effort

In the background is Suriname, who also qualified for the World Cup, putting pressure on him to officially switch allegiance. According to Driessen, who is a big fan, that would be a shame.

“He’s a player who is doing brilliantly at West Ham; he scores goals like crazy. Koeman has to look at that, and you shouldn’t let him go just like that,” he said. However, fellow journalist Kapteijns believes it may be too late for any efforts.

He said, “It may be too late; they have already made their choice for Suriname.”

“If he reaches the playoffs, he will easily go to the World Cup. He will make his debut in March when Suriname plays against Bolivia and probably Iraq.”
