Major update on WWE Masked Man storyline following Bronson Reed’s injury

WWE’s ongoing masked storyline plans were hit by a significant setback following a serious injury to Bronson Reed. During this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, Reed suffered a distal bicep tear while competing in the Elimination Chamber qualifying match.

The injury occurred midway through the match when Reed thwarted a pinfall attempt by Jey Uso and El Grande Americano. Despite visible distress and the referee giving the “X” sign to indicate a legitimate medical emergency, the match was ended immediately, and Uso won.

According to WrestleVotes Radio via Fightful Select, Reed was the original choice to claim the final spot in the men’s Elimination Chamber match. When it became clear that Reed could not continue, officials reportedly instructed the remaining contestants to improvise a new ending. Reed was immediately flown to Birmingham, Alabama after the broadcast to undergo evaluation and possible surgery.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that the big man is expected to be out indefinitely, causing a blow on the “Road to WrestleMania” as he was being positioned for a prominent role in Las Vegas.

Beyond the immediate impact of the tournament, Reed’s absence has reportedly derailed a notable storyline involving the mysterious masked man terrorizing the members of The Vision. Sources reveal that both the mystery individual and Logan Paul had a role to play in the outcome of the qualifying match on Raw.

With Reed sidelined, WWE will reportedly be forced to rewrite key parts of the angle, which many fans believe could lead to the return of Seth Rollins. The injury is the latest in a series of setbacks for The Vision faction.

Rollins remains out with a torn rotator cuff, and Braun Breaker recently had hernia surgery. Reed’s Dave Meltzer was the focal point of the group in the absence of the other members.
