According to newspaper news, Sebastian Kehl has reached an agreement with Dortmund to officially terminate his contract. This will end the 24-year-old association with the German club.
Dortmund will offer Kehl a severance package totaling around €1.5m. He will officially bid farewell to the club in the home match against Eintracht Frankfurt this week.
The German club severed ties with the sporting director in March. The club said his exit was due to ‘irreconcilable’ differences with Lars Ricken and Carsten Kramer. But they have been locked in talks since his official separation from the club.
Due to this the future of the director was in doubt. He is already being eyed by clubs in Europe but his current contract with Dortmund may have made things difficult.

Tottenham is one of those who are interested. BILD reports that while Sebastian Kiehl is testing the market, there are already three interested parties. They are Tottenham, Werder Bremen and Wolfsburg.
