Ric Flair had senior moment during sharp comment about WWE, Tiffany Stratton and Ludwig Kaiser

While talking about his past issues with WWE wrestler Ludwig Kaiser, Ric Flair jokingly said that he had no idea where Kaiser came from or whether he was still on the roster.

First, the back story. The 16-time world champion’s problems with the man who works under the alias of El Grande Americano stem from an incident that took place last year between Tiffany Stratton and her daughter Charlotte Flair. In the lead up to their WrestleMania 41 title match, they had an infamous verbal clash on an episode of SmackDown.

During the segment, Stratton referenced Flair’s three failed marriages. Flair responded by saying that his opponent’s then-boyfriend Kaiser was sending him direct messages on social media. A claim that Kaiser shot down with a hilarious Shawn Michaels meme immediately afterward.

During Wednesday’s appearance ariel helwani showRic Flair called in and noted that he was not invited to WrestleMania 41 and 42 this year because he threatened to “beat up” Caesar over a comment he made on social media about his daughter, which the 76-year-old was not clear about.

“I threatened to beat up Tiffany Stratton’s husband last year, and I wasn’t allowed to go. A 24-year-old kid is being threatened by a 76-year-old man, and I can’t go to WrestleMania. Are you kidding me?” Flair said.

Beyond the idea that Flair had any chance in a fight against Kaiser at the age of nearly 80, there were several things he got wrong in his speech. First of all, he claimed that Kaiser is 24 years old. He is actually 35 years old. The WCW icon then said, “That English kid, he’ll be like a gnat in wrestling. He’ll be a fly on the wall in a year.” Flair apparently doesn’t know that Kaiser is German.

Flair then asked, “Where is he now? Is he even on the roster?” The wrestling great must not have looked too far into the WWE product as he had no idea that Cesar had been playing the character for El Grande Americano for almost a year and had become extremely popular for his work in AAA.

This was one of many senior Ric Flair moments when he complained about WWE not “rolling out the red carpet” for him during WrestleMania weekend for his contributions to the industry. He also claimed that Stratton “wasn’t smart enough” to write the line about his daughter’s divorce and that someone at the company had passed the message on to him.

Still, despite the lengthy criticism and numerous targets, the WWE Hall of Famer suggested, “I’m not mad at anybody. I understand it’s politics now. It’s too much politics and not enough wrestling.”

Mike gets heated with sharp reaction to Bucks’ Bam Adebayo shade

It was back to regular programming for the Miami Heat on Thursday night, as Bam Adebayo recorded just 21 points in their 112-105 win over the Milwaukee Bucks after scoring the second-most points in a game (83 points) in association history. No one realistically expected Adebayo to reach such heights on Tuesday against the Washington Wizards, and the performance he delivered against the Bucks on this night far exceeds what is expected of him to perform on a nightly basis.

Undoubtedly, Adebayo is the talk of the town, because what he did against the Wizards was amazing and impossible to believe. And even though the Bucks lost, they poked a little fun at the fact that Adebayo scored 62 fewer points on Thursday than he did on Tuesday, which is a feat for a struggling Milwaukee team.

The official post on X after the Bucks’ loss read, “The Bombs did not score 83 points.”

What followed was a response from the Heat social media team, with the Bucks dropping the mic with a brutal response to Adebayo.

“Wasn’t needed…obviously…” the Heat’s response reads.

The true testament to the talent of the Heat culture is that there is a clear unselfishness that defines the team, especially with some of their key guys like Tyler Herro, Andrew Wiggins and Norman Powell all battling injuries.

On Thursday, it was Pelle Larsson who had the time of his life; Although he didn’t drop anything close to 83 points, he did score 28 points for himself, the best number of his career. The Heat continue to produce quality players left and right, the ultimate effect of their renowned culture.

Deron Sharp is out for the season with a torn ligament in his thumb

Brooklyn Nets center De’Ron Sharp will miss the remainder of the season with a thumb injury that will require surgery, the team announced Thursday.

“Deron Sharp has been diagnosed with a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his left thumb. Sharp will require surgery to repair the ligament and will miss the remainder of the season. Further updates will be provided following the procedure,” the Nets said in a statement.

Sharp missed the Nets’ big loss against the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday due to his injury. The 24-year-old big man continued to solidify himself as one of the league’s best backup centers this season after a breakout 2024-25 campaign.

Sharp posted career-highs across the board, averaging 8.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.1 steals on 60.1 percent shooting in 18.7 minutes per game. He was one of three players, along with Giannis Antetokounmpo and Nikola Jokic, to average 16 points, 12 rebounds and four assists per 36 minutes on 55 percent or better shooting.

Sharp’s absence should boost Brooklyn’s tank amid a tight race in the draft lottery standings. According to CleaningTheGlass, his performance on the court versus off has led the Nets to outscore opponents by seven more points per 100 possessions, the team’s highest net rating swing and sixth among 35 centers who played more than 1,100 minutes.

Consecutive wins over the Pistons and Memphis Grizzlies dropped the Nets from second to fourth in the lottery standings. Brooklyn has one more win than the second- and third-place Sacramento Kings and Washington Wizards, respectively, and two more than the first-place Pacers.

Sharp has a $6 million team option for next season.

Shaddon Sharp injured, rest of season in doubt

The Portland Trail Blazers have played their last six games without the services of guard Shayden Sharp, and it looks like he’ll be missing more games — possibly even the rest of the 2025-26 NBA season — due to a lower-body injury.

The Blazers provided an update on the former 22-year-old Sharp via a social media post on Twitter on Tuesday.

“Trail Blazers guard Shadden Sharp continues to be treated for a left calf strain. Follow-up imaging revealed a stress reaction of the left fibula. Sharp will be reevaluated in approximately four to six weeks to allow adequate healing before beginning a progressive return to full basketball activity,” the update said.

Considering the timeline, there’s a real possibility that Sharp won’t suit up for another game for Portland this season. The Trail Blazers will have played 15 games in four weeks by the latest injury update on Sharp and seven more games in the sixth week of the timeline. Simply put, the outlook on Sharp is not great this season, as the Trail Blazers look to continue to contend for a spot in the NBA playoffs.

Sharpe last played against the Memphis Grizzlies at the Moda Center in Portland on February 6, where he suffered an injury. He left that contest in the second quarter and did not return.

The injury is a major blow for the Trail Blazers, as Sharp is one of the team’s most important players. He is second on the team in scoring so far this season, averaging 21.4 points per game, along with 4.4 rebounds and 2.6 assists per contest, while shooting 45.6 percent from the floor and 34.0 percent from behind the arc.

The update on Sharp, who was selected seventh in the first round of the 2022 NBA Draft by the Trail Blazers, further adds to Portland’s headache on the injury front, as it is also without NBA All-Star Danny Avdija at the moment due to a back injury.

That means the Trail Blazers will be without their top two scorers when they face the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday night.

Jordi Fernandez has sharp reaction to Brooklyn’s blowout loss to the Cavs after the All-Star break

The Brooklyn Nets looked like a team still on vacation during their first game after the All-Star break. Jordi Fernandez’s team sleepwalked through a 112-84 loss to the streaking Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday to start the second half of the season.

This game marked the Nets’ NBA-leading eighth wire-to-wire loss of the season. Brooklyn trails by 43 points.

“It was everything. The physicality, the intensity, all those things we weren’t matching up to,” Fernandez said. “Their physicality, their intensity was exactly what a winning team should be. We weren’t even close.”

With starting center Nick Claxton sidelined, the Nets had no answer for the Cavaliers on both ends during the lopsided loss. He shot 30 of 87 (34.5 percent) from the field and 14 of 49 (28.6 percent) from three.

Brooklyn offered little resistance defensively as the Cavs shot 44-of-86 (51.2 percent), with seven players reaching double figures.

Brooklyn’s lack of engagement was evident from the opening tip. After some miscommunication on their first two possessions, Fernandez called a timeout 40 seconds into the game in an attempt to wake up his team. He had little success in doing so.

“It was two mistakes that were completely controllable, and it tells me about the readiness of our players. It was a lack of effort and readiness, and I’m not going to let it fly. And we didn’t wake up,” Fernandez said. “We know we are better, our standards are higher than this. Now we have to go to the next level, and hold everyone accountable, including me, and go and fight better [on Friday in Oklahoma City]”

Michael Porter Jr. led the Nets with 14 points, five rebounds and two assists on 5 of 13 shooting. Ochai Agbaji added 13 points on 5-of-5 shooting off the bench during his second game with Brooklyn. Danny Wolf scored 11 points and seven assists on 4-of-12 shooting, while Egor Demin had 10 points on 3-of-8 shooting.

Donovan Mitchell scored a game-high 17 points on 7-of-12 shooting for Cleveland, while James Harden added 16 points and nine assists on 6-of-8 shooting.

The loss brings a ray of hope for the Nets, who are tied with the Washington Wizards for fourth place in the draft lottery standings. Brooklyn is tied in the win column and twice behind the Indiana Pacers and New Orleans Pelicans in the loss column, who are in second place.

Fernandez’s team will be back in action on Friday during a road matchup with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
