Watch bloodied Alpern Sengun block shot to force OT vs. Timberwolves

On Wednesday night, in a game loaded with playoff implications in the Western Conference, the Houston Rockets defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves in a 110-108 overtime classic at the Target Center. Down 13 in the extra period, Minnesota mounted the largest overtime comeback in NBA history, capped by Julius Randle’s clutch jumper with 8.8 seconds on the clock.

Alpern Sengun led Houston with 30 points on 22 shots and finished with four blocks. His most dramatic play came at the end of regulation when he blocked Randle while sustaining a bloody lip, keeping the Rockets alive and forcing overtime.

Kevin Durant matched Sengun with 30 points, but got off to a slow start, shooting 1 of 6 in the first quarter and 2 of 11 before halftime, although he scored the final seven points for Houston in the fourth quarter to tie the game. Jabari Smith Jr. and Reed Shepard shot 10 of 28 with five turnovers, while Amen Thompson just missed a triple-double with 11 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds.

The Timberwolves were missing five of their top seven players, including Anthony Edwards (knee), Ayo Dosunmu (calf), and Rudy Gobert, who fouled out with 14 points, 14 rebounds, and five blocks. Still, Minnesota got needed contributions from Randle (24 points), Jaden McDaniels (25 points on 10 of 17 shooting), Donte DiVincenzo (17 points), and Naz Reed (14 points, 13 rebounds). Mike Conley and Kyle Anderson also provided key scoring late in overtime.

Houston had a chance to close out the game when Sengun’s dunk gave them a 108–95 lead in overtime, but Minnesota cut the lead with a series of threes, layups and free throws, tying it at 108–all before Randle’s game-winning jumper.

At 43-29, the Rockets are in sixth place in the West, 1.5 games behind the fifth-place Timberwolves (45-28), with the Phoenix Suns in seventh. Houston faces the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday and plays Minnesota again on April 10.

Julius Randle takes NSFW shot at Scott Foster after wild win

Julius Randle sank the game-winning bucket with 8.8 seconds remaining to lead the Minnesota Timberwolves past the Houston Rockets 110-108 in overtime on Wednesday at Target Center.

The Timberwolves had to come back In an expansion to dispose of the Rockets and improve to 45-28.

They also had to endure the loss of Naz Reed in overtime after he was ejected by referee Scott Foster after a critical call.

Randle’s courageous basket felt like poetic justice for the Timberwolves, and the veteran forward made his true feelings known after the game, as SB Nation’s Ryan Eichten reported.

“Julius Randle is walking down the hallway to the locker room right now: ‘Scott Foster didn’t do this,'” Eichten wrote on X.

The Timberwolves were trailing by five points when Reid scored with 4:13 left in overtime.

Randle finished with 24 points, six rebounds, six assists and two steals, while Reed had 14 points, 13 rebounds, two steals and two blocks.

In a postgame interview with ESPN, the 31-year-old Randle Gave credit for this to my colleaguesAlso admitted that they now have the tie-breaker against the Rockets.

“We’re ready for now. It’s as simple as that,” Randall said.

“It feels good. We took care of business, especially at home. We’ve got another game against this team, so it’s important for us to get it done. I’m very proud of our team, for the resiliency we showed. Everyone stepped up and made big plays at different points in the game.”

Jaden McDaniels added 25 points, two steals and two blocks, while Rudy Gobert added 14 points, 14 rebounds and five blocks.

JJ Redick takes hilarious shot at LeBron James, only to miss Rockets

JJ Redick isn’t afraid to take a hit on the bear, even if that bear is his own superstar. Following the Los Angeles Lakers’ 124-116 win over the Houston Rockets on Wednesday night, Redick couldn’t resist making a joke at LeBron James’ expense despite a near-perfect performance from “The King.”

James was absolutely surgical at Toyota Center, scoring 30 points on a staggering 13-of-14 shooting from the floor. He missed exactly once all night. When reporters asked Redick about the lone flaw in that historic shooting performance, the first-year head coach didn’t mince words.

“The one shot he missed, he was trying to get a foul shot,” Redick said with a laugh in the media room.

It was a classic Reddick moment, blunt, high-witted and with just the right amount of sarcasm. While the coach was clearly joking, his comments highlight the loose, confident atmosphere around this Lakers team. Los Angeles has now won seven straight games and 10 of their last 11, improving their record to 44-25 and solidifying their place near the top of the Western Conference.

James wasn’t the only person cooking in Houston. Luka Doncic continued his MVP-caliber campaign with a 40-point masterpiece that included 10 assists and nine rebounds to carry the load at the end of the fourth quarter. The Lakers shot 61% as a team, making life miserable for the Rockets defense, which welcomed Alpern Sengun. Sengun finished with 27 points and 11 assists, but it wasn’t enough to stop the purple and gold juggernaut.

The win completes a two-game sweep of the Rockets and serves as another reminder that the James-Doncic partnership is officially on the way. With Redick steering the ship and the stars playing it efficiently, the Lakers are looking like the most dangerous team in the West in April.

What was going through Alex Caruso’s mind when he tried to stop a shot with his shoe

Oklahoma City Thunder veteran Alex Caruso attempted to make a unique defensive stop during the second quarter of Tuesday’s 113-108 win against the Orlando Magic. Caruso used his shoe to stop Tristan da Silva, who was driving to the rim for a layup.

Caruso received a technical foul, and the Magic were awarded a goaltending layup. caruso addressed the play After the game, according to Justin Martinez of The Oklahoman.

Caruso said, “I’d never been in that situation before. It came next to me. So, I was like I’m going to use it.” “I just thought I was going to block it. Honestly, I didn’t know what the call was going to be. I didn’t know it was going to be goaltending and a take. If I had known that, I probably wouldn’t have made it.”

When Caruso realized it was too late to put his shoe back on during the game, he decided to use it.

“As soon as I got my shoe in my hands, I was thinking of using it,” Caruso said. “Not in a malicious way, but I’m going to try to make a play to stop the ball. It’s one of those weird NBA plays that probably won’t happen for the next 10 years.”

Alex Caruso finished with eight rebounds, two points and two steals in the Thunder’s win.

All-Shy Gilgeous-Alexander’s 40 points led the Thunder to a five-point win against the Magic, extending their winning streak to eight. The defending champion Thunder clinched a playoff spot with 13 games remaining in the regular season.

Despite an injury-filled campaign, due to the absence of Jalen Williams – the All-NBA forward has played only 26 games – the defending champions have remained on top of the Western Conference standings throughout the season.

Gilgeous-Alexander recorded his 129th consecutive 20+ point game. On the second night of a back-to-back, the Thunder will face the Nets on Wednesday.

Warriors’ Stephen Curry seen taking a shot in shootaround before Celtics game

The Golden State Warriors have been without Stephen Curry since the All-Star break as he deals with a knee injury. It seems like Curry may be close to returning to the court as the Warriors try to make a late-season push, as he was seen taking shots in shootaround before the game against the Boston Celtics.

This is good news for the Warriors, but it also may not mean much. Curry is believed to be reevaluated soon, and there is a possibility he could return sooner rather than later.

Head coach Steve Kerr recently spoke about Curry’s injury, as many have asked why he doesn’t shut down the guard for the remainder of the season if he is injured.

“When people ask me about this year, and I’ve been asked this many times, why don’t you rest Steph all year? OK, he’s healthy, we’re competing, that’s what we do. And we want to give ourselves a chance and that’s the whole point. The beauty is in the pursuit, in the work. And when you fail, it’s hard to recover from that,” Kerr said on the Tom Tolbert Show.

The Warriors are still in the playoff race, and will likely have to make it out of the play-in tournament to earn a win. This is nothing new for them, as last year they found themselves in the same situation, and were able to earn the No. 7 seed. What made it even better was that they defeated the Houston Rockets in the first round of the playoffs.

There’s no doubt that the Warriors are battle-tested, but they need their star player to improve their chances of winning more games during the season.

Alex Caruso tries his best to block a shot with a shoe

Sometimes, you have to do everything in your power to stop a player from scoring. During the Oklahoma City Thunder’s game against the Orlando Magic, guard Alex Caruso lost his shoe while playing. However, the game was still in progress, giving the guard no time to put his shoe back on.

With the game still going on, Caruso used everything to his advantage… even his shoes. As Magic forward Tristan da Silva was going up for a layup, the Thunder guard went up and went for the block with his shoe.

Although it was a strange sight to see, it was also an illegal maneuver according to NBA rules. Caruso was convicted of a technical foul for his actions. Additionally, the Thunder guard was also called for goaltending, meaning da Silva’s shot attempt would count as a basket.

The Thunder won 113–108 in a hard-fought match against the Magic. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander again led the Thunder with 40 points on 14-for-27 shooting from the field, 28 of which came in the second half. Caruso finished with only two points, but he also finished with eight rebounds and two steals. Caruso scored +19 in 23 minutes off the bench.

After the game, Caruso admitted that if he had known the basket would count, he would not have used his shoe.

“I had never been in that situation before,” Caruso said. The Oklahoman After the game. “And, I don’t know, it came to me. I just thought I’d block it, and I honestly don’t know what I thought the call would be. I didn’t know it would be a goaltending and a technique. If I had known that, I probably wouldn’t have done it because it’s a three point. It’s an automatic bucket, and he didn’t even put the ball above the rim.”

With the win, the Thunder have secured a postseason berth. They play the Brooklyn Nets tomorrow.

“Behaving like a big shot” – Manchester City star vents anger at referee

Gianluigi Donnarumma suffered the worst night of his Manchester City career so far on Wednesday.

The Citizens suffered a disastrous 3–0 defeat to Real Madrid and Donnarumma struggled for the full 90 minutes. He stopped a penalty which saved the Citizens an embarrassment but there were too many mistakes throughout the match.

The first goal was clearly his mistake and arguably, the Italian could have come off his line early for Federico Valverde’s third goal as well.

The 26-year-old player also made a mistake in giving a penalty, which he saved and for this he was given a yellow card.

The goalkeeper’s performances caught the attention of the Italian media, who were never far from the former AC Milan player.

Donnarumma’s heated argument with the referee

tuttosport Note today that the Manchester City player was not happy with Italian referee Maurizio Mariani. This was true when he was booked for dishonesty which led to a fine.

The goalkeeper said to the official: “Why are you acting like a big shot? You’re acting like a big shot.”

The matter did not end there, as Donnarumma continued after a few seconds of silence: “Why are you giving me a yellow card?

TuttoSport also released the player’s comments to Sky Italia after the defeat. He looked hopeful of an unexpected comeback in the second leg at the Etihad.

“We have to play a completely different game in the return leg. I’m disappointed because we lost badly, but we’re playing at home and hopefully the situation will change.”

Donnarumma expressed confidence in Manchester City fans to help turn things around.

“With our fans, it will definitely be different. They will have to give us unprecedented promotion, but they will definitely do it because they are special

Manchester City needs more from Donnarumma

Gianluigi Donnarumma
Madrid, Spain – The Champions League match between Villarreal FC and Manchester City was played at Villarreal. Manchester City players during the match.

The Italy international has been one of Manchester City’s best players in the Premier League. However, on a crucial night at the Bernabeu, things fell through and the goalkeeper will have to be at his best form in the second leg.

Big performances are nothing new for him, having done so for Italy and Paris Saint-Germain last season. It is important to remember that Real Madrid are not at their best ahead of the second leg.

Their season has been full of ups and downs and it would be foolish to rule out a Manchester City comeback. If it’s anything close to that, Donnarumma’s penalty save on Vinicius Jr. could be a significant contribution in its own right.

Jalen Williams appears to take a subtle shot at Nikola Jokic after SGA’s game-winner

OKLAHOMA CITY – For the second time in 10 days, All-Star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated MVP candidate Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets, giving Jalen Williams an isolated shot. Gilgeous-Alexander’s historic night began when he tied Wilt Chamberlain’s record of 126 consecutive 20+ point games. He sealed the special night with a 3-pointer that would send the Nuggets home.

The shorthanded Thunder, who competed without Williams, All-Star Chet Holmgren, Isaiah Hartenstein and Alex Caruso to name a few, were led by their MVP candidate in Gilgeous-Alexander against a Nuggets team eager to avenge last week’s overtime thriller. In terms of Gilgeous-Alexander’s MVP race with Jokic, Williams believes SGA’s 35-point performance in the Thunder’s 129-126 win should seal the race, he said on Twitter with his ex, former .

“MVP. Don’t think too much!!!” Williams posted the score shortly after Monday’s win, as the Thunder extended their winning streak to six.

Gilgeous-Alexander’s near triple-double (35 points, 15 assists, nine rebounds) with a block and a steal led five Thunder players into double figures, including Jaylin Williams’ 29 points, including a career-high seven threes, and a dozen rebounds. In his first game since January, Ajay Mitchell led the second unit with 24 points on 9-for-16 shooting, and Isaiah Joe and Jared McCain both added 13 points, including three triples.

Jokic’s triple-double (32 points, 14 rebounds, 13 assists) led the Nuggets. Aaron Gordon added 23 points and 10 rebounds, Tim Hardaway Jr.’s 28 points, including eight threes, led the bench production, while All-Star Jamal Murray added 21 points, eight rebounds and six assists.

The Thunder will look to extend their winning streak to seven when they host the Celtics at Paycom Center on Thursday.

Rudy Gobert takes playful shot at Kyle Anderson after comeback

As the playoff season approaches, the Timberwolves have added running back Kyle Anderson to the team. Anderson is no stranger to Minnesota fans, as he played with the Timberwolves from 2022 to 2024. After playing with the Warriors, Heat, Jazz and Grizzlies, he has now returned to the Timberwolves after being waived by Memphis.

Rudy Gobert, the starting center for the Timberwolves, jokingly teased Anderson upon his return to the team. In a clip posted by Underdog NBA, Gobert explained what the team missed without Kyle Anderson.

“I think just passing the ball…Yeah, somebody that wants to pass the ball to his teammates.”

But Gobert acknowledged after his joke that Anderson brings an important skill in playmaking to the team.

“But yes, he’s a coordinator. So, somebody who makes plays for his teammates.

Kyle Anderson began the season with the Utah Jazz, a team he landed in the 2025 offseason after being included in a three-team trade. With the Jazz, he averaged 7.1 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists. He was then part of the huge trade deadline move that sent Jaren Jackson Jr. to the Utah Jazz. He played four games with the Grizzlies before ultimately being released by the team.

The addition of Andersen to the Timberwolves’ rotation gives them more depth at forward. He can also serve as a veteran presence in the locker room. As a veteran vet over his 12-year career, he also saw the Timberwolves achieve contender status, as he was a member of the 2024 Minnesota team that reached the Western Conference Finals against the then-Luka Doncic-led Dallas Mavericks.

JJ Redick used 1 word to describe Luka Doncic after crazy shot

There are many words to describe Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Doncic. But for coach JJ Redick, one adjective stands out, and he heard it from an old mentor.

The Lakers earned an easy win for the second consecutive night after defeating the Sacramento Kings 128-104 at Crypto.com Arena on Sunday. They defeated the Golden State Warriors 129-101 on Saturday at Chase Center.

Doncic was remarkable in both games. Against the Kings, he had a game-high 28 points on 10 of 16 shooting, five rebounds and nine assists. Despite slipping on the floor in the third quarter, he made a spectacular shot.

When asked about it, coach JJ Redick had the perfect word to describe Doncic: Daring.

“Coach K always used the word ‘courageous,'” he said, referring to his former coach at Duke, Mike Krzyzewski, in a video posted by Khobi Price of the California Post.

“There is courage in Luka’s game. One of the many reasons that makes him such a special player.”

Since entering the NBA as a teenager from Slovenia, Doncic has mesmerized fans with his daring performances, including making shots from beyond the three-point area and delivering nearly impossible passes.

He has mastered court angles, using his high intelligence and speed to beat defenders despite his lack of speed and athleticism.

Doncic’s highlight reel is full of how-ever shots he made, and he’ll happily add his wild bucket against the Kings to it.

Redick has known Doncic since they were teammates on the Dallas Mavericks, and while the second-year coach isn’t afraid to rein in his players, he wouldn’t dare demand his prized star change his style.

Dwyane Wade casually takes no-look shot at NBA on prime set

Some view Dwyane Wade as one of the best basketball players in the modern NBA, and his portfolio supports that claim. His portfolio also supports that he is a very successful entrepreneur, but that’s a story for another day.

The Miami Heat legend is also a rotating hybrid game and studio analyst for Amazon Prime Video’s NBA coverage, and if this latest clip is anything to go by, Wade doesn’t need all the hustle. That’s because he still has it, as evidenced by a clip from the NBA on Prime set, according to a post on X by ClutchPoints.

In it, Wade can be seen hitting and sinking a no-look jumper with almost overconfidence before casually strolling over and patting several team members. Wade is part of a star-studded NBA on Prime roster that also includes Blake Griffin, Dirk Nowitzki, Udonis Haslem, Steve Nash and Candace Parker.

“Light work for D.Wade,” the clip said.

Spending the majority of his career with the Miami Heat, Wade won three NBA championships (2006, 2012, 2013) and was named 2006 NBA Finals MVP. Statistically, his dominance is undeniable: he earned 13 All-Star selections, eight All-NBA Team nods and three All-Defensive Team honors.

During his peak in the 2008–09 season, Wade won the NBA scoring title by leading the league in both total points (2,386) and points per game (30.2). To date, he remains the Miami Heat’s all-time franchise leader in points, games played, assists, steals, shots and shots taken, while he also holds the NBA’s all-time record for blocked shots by a guard.

And well, Wade is finding similar success off the court. They have aggressively bought into sports ownership, acquiring minority stakes in the NBA’s Utah Jazz (2021), the WNBA’s Chicago Sky (2023), and the MLS/NWSL’s Real Salt Lake and Utah Royals.

Through his 59th & Prairie Entertainment banner, he has become a heavyweight producer, garnering two Sports Emmy Awards (for The Redeem Team and The Dads) and an Oscar nomination for the short documentary The Barber of Little Rock.

Pete Crowe-Armstrong takes hilarious shot at LA Dodgers fans while praising Cubs diehards

Pete Crowe-Armstrong will give Los Angeles Dodgers fans reason to make him Public Enemy No. 1 when the Chicago Cubs visit LaLa Land in April.

In his second full season in the big leagues, the man nicknamed PCA took Chicago sports by storm. After an up-and-down 2024, the former New York Mets prospect took a big step forward last season. Posting 31 homers, 95 runs batted-in, 91 runs batted in, and 35 stolen bases. Additionally, his slugging and OPS were up nearly .100 points from the previous season.

The outfielder walked away with a lot of upside from a prospect that the organization was still developing for a starting MVP candidate in 2025. The 23-year-old has become the new face of the franchise, and unsurprisingly, he has been a top focus of the Chicago media in Spring Training. Along with this also comes a lot of interviews ahead of the new season.

In a new conversation with Chicago Magazine, PCA talked about his love for Chicago and its sports fans. While doing so, he took an interesting shot at one of his home-state teams. The current big evil of MLB, the LA Dodgers.

Pete Crowe-Armstrong claims LA Dodgers fans come to games only to take photos

Pete Crowe-Armstrong
Kiyoshi Mio-Imagen Images

“I love Chicago,” Crowe-Armstrong said. “It’s an incredible city. The people are great. They give a shit. They’re not just baseball fans who go to the games to take pictures and do whatever, like Dodgers fans. They’re paying attention. They care.”

This comment would further endear him to Cubs fans, and his honesty is part of his unique charm. However, baseball fans in LA will definitely be tuning in for a three-game set when Chicago visits Chavez Ravine in late April.

Although the comments will be stinging, they will not necessarily be baseless. While Los Angeles has millions of dedicated sports fans, the group has always had a reputation for coming to games late and having a very casual attitude about loving their teams.

Unbelievable Longest Rally in Tennis History! 😱🔥

The Unbelievable Longest Rally in Tennis History: A Test of Pure Will! 😱🔥

Tennis is often a game of explosive power, lightning-fast aces, and quick volleys. However, every now and then, the sport delivers a moment of sheer endurance that leaves fans breathless. If you think a 20-shot rally between Djokovic and Nadal is long, wait until you hear about the longest rally in professional tennis history.

For Indian tennis fans who grew up watching the grit of Leander Paes or the baseline consistency of Somdev Devvarman, the concept of “never giving up” is familiar. But this particular record takes “never giving up” to a whole new, almost unbelievable level.

The 29-Minute Point: Nelson vs. Hepburn (1984)

The record for the longest rally in a professional match occurred in 1984 at a tournament in Richmond, Virginia. The players were Vicki Nelson and Jean Hepburn. While they weren’t global superstars, they etched their names into the history books by playing a single point that lasted—believe it or not—29 minutes.

During this marathon point, the ball crossed the net an incredible 643 times. To put that in perspective, most modern professional points end within 4 to 8 shots. This wasn’t just tennis; it was a psychological war of attrition where neither player was willing to blink first.

How Did It Happen?

The match was played on a slow surface, and both players adopted a “moonball” strategy—hitting the ball high and deep to avoid making unforced errors. As the rally crossed the 500-shot mark, the crowd reportedly fell into a stunned silence, realizing they were witnessing a statistical anomaly. Nelson eventually won the point when Hepburn hit a shot long.

The match itself lasted 6 hours and 22 minutes, which remains the longest women’s match played in a single day.

Why This Record Might Never Be Broken

In today’s era of modern tennis, several factors make a 643-shot rally nearly impossible:

  • Power & Technology: Modern rackets and strings allow players to generate massive spin and pace, making it harder to keep the ball in play for hundreds of shots.
  • Aggressive Coaching: Players are now trained to “finish the point” rather than wait for an error.
  • Physical Fatigue: The aerobic intensity of today’s game is much higher; a player would collapse from exhaustion before hitting 600 high-intensity shots.

Conclusion

The 29-minute rally between Nelson and Hepburn remains one of the most unbelievable moments in tennis history. It serves as a reminder that while talent and speed are essential, mental toughness and the refusal to lose are the true foundations of the sport. Whether you are a casual fan in Mumbai or an aspiring player in Delhi, this record stands as the ultimate benchmark for endurance.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. What is the longest rally in men’s tennis?

While the 643-shot rally is the pro record, the longest rally in a competitive men’s pro match is often cited as a 71-shot rally between Björn Borg and Guillermo Vilas (1978). However, amateur records exist for much longer durations.

2. How long did the longest tennis match ever last?

The longest match in history was between John Isner and Nicolas Mahut at Wimbledon 2010. It lasted 11 hours and 5 minutes, played over three days.

3. What does “moonballing” mean in tennis?

Moonballing is a defensive tactic where a player hits the ball with high topspin and a high arc, making it difficult for the opponent to attack while minimizing the chance of hitting the net.

4. Has any Indian player been part of a record-breaking rally?

While no Indian holds the world record for the longest rally, Indian players like Somdev Devvarman were famous on the ATP tour for their incredible fitness and ability to engage in grueling 30+ shot baseline exchanges.

Every Cricket Player Must Master This Basic Shot: A Beginner’s Guide

Every Cricket Player Must Master This Basic Shot: A Beginner’s Guide

In a sports-crazy nation like India, cricket isn’t just a game; it is an emotion. Whether you are playing with a heavy tennis ball in a narrow gully or training with a leather ball at an academy, your journey to becoming a solid batter starts with one fundamental move. While the T20 era has popularized the “Scoop” and the “Reverse Sweep,” every coach across the country will tell you the same thing: you must first master the Straight Drive.

The Essence of the Straight Drive

The straight drive is often called the “Bread and Butter” of legendary Indian cricketers like Sunil Gavaskar and Sachin Tendulkar. It is a shot played to a full-pitched delivery, hitting the ball back past the bowler toward the sight-screen. Why is it the most important shot? Because it promotes a high elbow, a straight bat, and perfect balance—the three pillars of successful batting.

Steps to Master the Straight Drive

  • The Stance: Keep your feet shoulder-width apart and stay relaxed. Your head should be still and eyes level.
  • The Trigger Movement: As the bowler releases, lean your front shoulder toward the line of the ball.
  • The Contact: Meet the ball directly under your eyes. Ensure your front elbow points toward the bowler.
  • The Follow-through: Do not stop the bat abruptly. Let the bat swing through the line of the ball towards the target.

Mastering this shot prevents you from “playing across the line,” which is the primary reason beginners get out LBW or Bowled. Once you control the straight drive, shots like the cover drive and the flick become infinitely easier to execute.

Beyond the Pitch: Keeping Up with Hockey Scores

While cricket dominates the headlines, Indian sports fans are increasingly turning their attention back to our national pride: Field Hockey. With the Indian National Team performing exceptionally well on the global stage, staying updated with hockey scores has become a daily ritual for many.

Whether it is the FIH Pro League, the Asian Champions Trophy, or domestic leagues, the intensity on the turf is unmatched. For Indian fans, tracking hockey scores is no longer just about the final result; it’s about watching the tactical evolution of our players who are bringing back the golden era of Indian hockey. If you are a cricket fan looking for a second sport to follow, the fast-paced nature of a 60-minute hockey match offers a thrilling alternative.

Conclusion

To succeed in cricket, you don’t need to start with fancy hits. You need a foundation built on the straight drive. It teaches you discipline and technique that lasts a lifetime. Similarly, as a well-rounded Indian sports enthusiast, diversifying your interests by following hockey scores and supporting our athletes in different arenas enriches the sporting culture of the country. Grab your bat, practice that high elbow, and don’t forget to cheer for the Men in Blue—both on the pitch and the turf!

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. Which cricket shot is the hardest to master?

Many experts believe the Straight Drive is the hardest to master perfectly because it requires precise timing and a very straight bat face to avoid catching the edge.

2. How can I improve my batting balance?

Focus on your head position. If your head falls over to the off-side, your balance will be disrupted. Keep your weight on the balls of your feet.

3. Where can I find real-time hockey scores in India?

You can track live hockey scores on the official FIH website, the Hockey India app, or popular sports platforms like ESPN and Flashscore.

4. Why is the “elbow up” position important in cricket?

A high front elbow ensures that the bat comes down in a straight line. If the elbow drops, the bat tends to slice across the ball, increasing the risk of a catch.

Mansour Bahrami’s Magical Tennis Skills: The Ultimate Trick Shot Master!

Mansour Bahrami’s Magical Tennis Skills: The Ultimate Trick Shot Master!

Known globally as the “Court Jester” or the “Magician,” Bahrami has turned the tennis court into his personal theater. For tennis enthusiasts in India, who grew up watching the elegant touch of stars like Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi, Bahrami’s style of play resonates deeply.

The Man Behind the Magic

Mansour Bahrami’s journey is as incredible as his trick shots. Born in Iran, he faced years of being unable to play tennis due to political restrictions in his home country. He eventually moved to France as a refugee with nothing but his passion. This hardship gave him a unique perspective on the game: for Bahrami, tennis isn’t just a competition; it’s a celebration of life.

  • The “Invisible” Recovery: He can hit a winning shot while sitting on a chair, lying on the ground, or even while holding five tennis balls in one hand.
  • Backspin Mastery: Bahrami can hit the ball with so much backspin that it bounces on the opponent’s side and then hops back over the net to his own side.

Why Indian Tennis Fans Adore Him

India has a rich history of “touch” tennis. While the modern game is dominated by power and baseline grinding, Indian fans have always appreciated the art of the volley and the clever drop shot. Seeing Mansour Bahrami at exhibition matches, often playing alongside legends like Vijay Armitraj, has solidified his status as a cult hero in the Indian subcontinent. His charisma, sense of humour, and ability to connect with the audience transcend the scoreline.

The Spirit of Entertainment

While Bahrami did reach a French Open doubles final in 1989, his legacy isn’t measured in Grand Slam trophies. 11-Year-Old Indian Hockey Prodigy’s 101 KMPH Slap Shot: Skills Competition Results

11-Year-Old Indian Hockey Prodigy Stuns with 101 KMPH Slap Shot: Skills Competition Breakdown

The landscape of Indian field hockey is witnessing a seismic shift as young talent emerges from the grassroots level with professional-grade power. In a recent skills competition that has captured the attention of the national sporting community, an 11-year-old Indian hockey prodigy recorded a thunderous 101 KMPH slap shot, setting a new benchmark for youth athletics in the country.

The Power Behind the Shot: Skills Competition Results

The skills competition, designed to identify elite prospects across various age groups, focused on core hockey metrics: speed, precision, and power. While many participants showed promise, the highlight of the event was the radar gun reading for a specific 11-year-old phenom.

Clocking in at 101 kilometres per hour (KMPH), the slap shot wasn’t just impressive for a pre-teen; it rivaled the speeds seen in senior state-level circuits. This feat requires an extraordinary blend of core strength, wrist snap, and perfect weight transfer—technical skills that usually take years of international exposure to master.

Why This Matters for Indian Hockey

Historically, Indian hockey has been celebrated for its “magical” stickwork and nimble dribbling. However, the modern international game—dominated by European powerhouses—demands raw power and high-speed drag flicks. Seeing an 11-year-old produce a 101 KMPH shot suggests that the new generation of Indian players is adapting to a more robust, power-oriented style of play.

  • Technological Integration: The use of radar guns and performance analytics in Indian youth camps is helping identify these “power players” early.
  • Improved Coaching: Modern academies are focusing on biomechanics, allowing kids to generate maximum force without risking injury.
  • Physical Literacy: There is a rising emphasis on strength and conditioning at the school level, contributing to such high-velocity performances.

Technical Analysis: The Physics of a 101 KMPH Slap Shot

To achieve a triple-digit speed at such a young age, the prodigy demonstrated exceptional “flex” in the hockey stick. By striking the turf slightly behind the ball/puck and using the stick’s kinetic energy, the player acted as a catapult. In the context of Indian field hockey, translating this power into a penalty corner scenario could make this youngster a lethal weapon for the national team in the future.

Conclusion

The 11-year-old Indian hockey prodigy’s 101 KMPH slap shot is more than just a viral statistic; it is a testament to the evolving nature of the sport in India. As the country looks to regain its undisputed dominance on the Olympic stage, the emergence of players who combine traditional Indian skill with modern explosive power is a promising sign. If nurtured correctly, this young athlete represents the vanguard of a new era in Indian hockey.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. How fast is a typical professional hockey slap shot?

In professional senior field hockey, top-tier players and drag-flickers often hit speeds between 110 and 130 KMPH. An 11-year-old hitting 101 KMPH is exceptionally close to professional standards.

2. What equipment is used to measure shot speed in India?

Most modern hockey academies in India use Doppler radar guns or high-speed camera analytics (like Hawkeye or similar sensors) to measure the velocity of the ball during skills competitions.

3. Can a high-speed slap shot lead to injuries in young players?

If the technique is incorrect, the repetitive motion can strain the wrists and lower back. However, with proper coaching on biomechanics and core strengthening, young prodigies can safely execute high-power shots.

4. How can other young Indian players improve their shot power?

Improving shot power involves a combination of forearm strength, explosive hip rotation, and practicing the “transfer of weight” from the back foot to the front foot during the swing.

Ronaldo vs Messi: Who is the Best Finisher? ⚽️🔥

<article>
<h1>Ronaldo vs Messi: Who is the Best Finisher in Football History? ⚽️🔥</h1>

<p>In the gullies of Mumbai and the packed screenings in Kolkata, one debate reigns supreme: <strong>Cristiano Ronaldo vs Lionel Messi</strong>. While both have redefined modern football, the most heated sub-debate revolves around one specific skill: <strong>Finishing</strong>.</p>

<p>When the clock hits the 90th minute and the team needs a goal, who do you want on the ball? Is it the Portuguese powerhouse or the Argentine magician? Let’s break down the clinical stats and styles of these two GOATs.</p>

    <h2>The Machine: Cristiano Ronaldo's Finishing Prowess</h2>
<p>Cristiano Ronaldo is often described as the most complete goal-scoring machine the world has ever seen. For Indian fans who grew up watching his peaks at Manchester United and Real Madrid, his finishing is synonymous with variety.</p>

    <ul>
<li><strong>Aerial Dominance:</strong> Ronaldo’s leap is legendary. His ability to hang in the air and power headers past goalkeepers gives him an edge in "total finishing."</li>
<li><strong>Weak Foot Efficiency:</strong> Ronaldo doesn't really have a "weak" foot. His left-foot strikes are often as powerful as his right.</li>
<li><strong>Poaching Instincts:</strong> Over the years, he evolved into the ultimate "Fox in the Box," mastering one-touch finishes.</li>
    </ul>

    <h2>The Artist: Lionel Messi’s Precision Finishing</h2>
<p>If Ronaldo is about power, Lionel Messi is about geometry. Messi doesn't just shoot; he "passes" the ball into the net. His finishing is characterized by intelligence and a legendary left foot that seems to have its own GPS system.</p>

    <ul>
<li><strong>The Chip:</strong> Messi has mastered the art of "dinking" the ball over keepers, a skill requiring immense composure.</li>
<li><strong>Outside the Box:</strong> Statistically, Messi outshines almost everyone in goals scored from outside the penalty area, often curling the ball into the top corner.</li>
<li><strong>Consistency:</strong> Messi often maintains a higher "Goals per Game" ratio and better conversion rates than most strikers, despite playing deeper in midfield in recent years.</li>
    </ul>

    <h2>Statistical Breakdown: Who Wins?</h2>
<p>When we look at the pure numbers, Ronaldo holds the record for the <strong>most official goals in football history</strong>. However, Messi fans argue that Leo reaches his tally with fewer shots taken, suggesting higher efficiency.</p>

<p>In the context of Indian football fans, Ronaldo’s "clutch" moments in the UEFA Champions League often make him the favorite for "best finisher." Conversely, Messi’s ability to solo-dribble past five defenders before a calm finish makes him the choice for those who value technical brilliance.</p>

    <h2>Conclusion</h2>
<p>Choosing between Ronaldo and Messi as a finisher depends on your definition of the word. If finishing means **finding a goal by any means necessary**—header, long-range blast, or a tap-in—<strong>Cristiano Ronaldo</strong> takes the crown. If finishing means **surgical precision and artistic placement**, <strong>Lionel Messi</strong> is peerless.</p>

<p>For the Indian football community, we are lucky to live in an era where we can witness both. Whether you wear the "CR7" jersey or the "LM10" kit, there is no denying that these two have set a benchmark for finishing that may never be broken.</p>

    <hr>

    <h2>Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)</h2>

<h3>1. Who has more career goals, Messi or Ronaldo?</h3>
<p>As of 2024, Cristiano Ronaldo holds the record for the most official goals in football history. However, Lionel Messi is close behind and has played fewer matches.</p>

    <h3>2. Who is the better free-kick taker?</h3>
<p>While Ronaldo had a legendary "knuckleball" technique early in his career, Lionel Messi has statistically become the more consistent free-kick scorer over the last decade.</p>

<h3>3. Who has won more Ballon d'Or awards?</h3>
<p>Lionel Messi holds the record with 8 Ballon d'Or awards, while Cristiano Ronaldo has won 5.</p>

<h3>4. Which player is more popular in India?</h3>
<p>It is almost an even split! Ronaldo has a massive following in states like Goa and Kerala, while Messi has an iconic status in West Bengal and Kerala, especially after Argentina's 2022 World Cup win.</p>
</article>

Ronaldo and Messi compete in shot power. Ronaldo strikes the ball at 135 km/h, shaking the goal. But Messi, with just a 22 km/h shot, also makes the goal tremble.

Draymond Green steps in after Skip Bayless’ shot at LeBron James

They may be good friends now, but Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James and Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green definitely had a heated feud in the past.

In Game 4 of the 2016 NBA Finals between the Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers, Green hit James in the groin area after a tackle. Later, when they had another altercation, he called the four-time MVP a “b****.”

Sports commentator Skip Bayless, who hates James, praised Green for calling out the four-time MVP, noting that the latter “can be a b**** sometimes.” However, Green admitted that what he did was wrong.

“That’s my brother. It’s really one of those moments that I regret. Because when I use that word with people, I take it out on the court over and over again, but when I take that word out, I’m ready to fight. So I’m saying this word to you, so you can be ready to fight me right now,” Green said on his podcast.

“So when I look back at that moment, it’s a moment I’m not proud of. Especially where our relationship is today. It’s like, like I said, when I throw that word out, all respect goes out the window. My respect for ‘Bron’ is through the roof.”

In recent years, Green and James have formed a close relationship, even spending time together in the offseason. Being in the same agency firm has also helped them know each other better.

Green, 35, has often expressed his admiration for James, 41, even calling him the GOAT.

Although the Warriors and Lakers still have physical altercations when they face off, they are born out of competitive fire rather than genuine hatred. Ultimately, as Green mentioned, it’s always about respect.

Stephen Curry practices crazy trick shot before All-Star Game

On Sunday evening, the NBA All-Star Game took place from the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, home of the Los Angeles Clippers. Unfortunately, Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors was unable to attend this contest due to a knee injury that has caused him to miss the last few games for Golden State.

However, Curry was still in attendance in Los Angeles for the festivities, and during a pre-game interview with NBC, he launched a shot into the stands from the network’s set, drilling it, of course, very surprising Of fans in the field.

(Oh no, he didn’t on X, first on Twitter).

Curry has long been known for his tendency to nail spectacular trick shots before games, often launching shots from the tunnel of both Oracle Arena and Chase Center before games, surprising fans in the process. In fact, fans arrive at Warriors games hours early just to see the spectacle.

While Curry will unfortunately miss the game due to a knee injury, he is still finding ways to entertain fans regardless.

Curry isn’t the only notable player to miss the game due to injury, as Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo and reigning league MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder will also be sidelined for the festivities.

It will certainly be interesting to see whether the players who are available will be able to provide a higher level of effort than in previous years.

Mastering Shot Selection in Test Cricket 🏏 #CricketShorts #TeamIndia #CricketLover #Shorts

Mastering Shot Selection in Test Cricket: Small Adjustments for Big Scores

In the age of explosive T20 leagues and rapid-fire #CricketShorts, the essence of Test Cricket remains the ultimate challenge of a batsman’s temperament. Whether you are watching Team India battle it out in a World Test Championship (WTC) final or tracking a live cricket score on your phone, one thing stands out: Shot Selection.

For any #CricketLover, understanding why a player leaves a ball or chooses a defensive stroke over a boundary is the key to appreciating the “Red Ball” format. Let’s dive into the nuances of picking the right shot at the right time.

1. The Art of Leaving the Ball

In Test cricket, sometimes the best shot is the one you don’t play. Mastery over the “off-stump channel” is what separates legends like Sachin Tendulkar or Virat Kohli from the rest. Leaving the ball allows the batsman to tire out the bowler and wait for a delivery that is actually in the scoring zone. As the saying goes, “You can’t get out if you don’t play at the ball.”

2. Respecting the New Ball

When the cricket score reads 0/0 and the red cherry is swinging under overcast skies, aggression is often a recipe for disaster. Indian openers have historically succeeded when they play close to the body. Mastering the “V”—the area between mid-off and mid-on—is crucial during the first 15 overs. Avoid the flamboyant drive until the shine wears off.

3. Playing Late: The Secret to Success

Unlike white-ball cricket where you fetch the ball in front of your eyes, Test cricket requires you to play as late as possible—ideally right under your nose. This minimizes the risk of edges carrying to the slip cordon. If you follow viral #Shorts of batting drills, you’ll notice elite players focusing on their head position and late contact.

4. Capitalizing on the Loose Delivery

Patience doesn’t mean being stagnant. When the bowler errs in length—providing a half-volley or a short-pitch delivery—a master of shot selection pounces. The signature cover drive or the authoritative pull shot are essential tools, but only when the cricket score and match situation allow for that risk.

5. The Spin Challenge

On Indian sub-continent pitches, shot selection against spin is a different beast. Using your feet to reach the pitch of the ball or playing deep in the crease to use the “cut” shot is vital. For Team India, players like Rohit Sharma have mastered the art of blending caution with calculated aggression against quality spinners.

Conclusion

Test cricket is a game of chess played with a bat and ball. Mastering shot selection is not just about technique; it’s about discipline. While we all love the thrill of a 60-second #CricketShorts clip showing a flurry of boundaries, the true beauty lies in the grit of a five-day battle. Next time you check the cricket score and see a batsman on 100 off 250 balls, remember: every one of those shots was a conscious, calculated decision.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. Why is shot selection more important in Test cricket than T20?

In T20s, the priority is the strike rate, so batsmen take more risks. In Tests, there is no limit on overs, so staying at the crease is the priority. One wrong shot selection can end an innings that could have lasted hours.

2. How can I improve my shot selection?

Improvement comes through net practice and “shadow batting.” Focus on identifying the line and length early. Watching slow-motion tutorials or cricket shorts of professional players can also help you understand footwork better.

3. Who has the best shot selection in Team India?

While subjective, players like Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara are often cited for their exceptional discipline. In the current setup, Shubman Gill is also praised for his balanced approach in the Test format.

4. Does the pitch affect shot selection?

Absolutely. On a “green top” (grassy pitch), you avoid driving away from the body. On a “rank turner” (spinning pitch), you focus on using your feet or playing with the spin to avoid edges.

5. Where can I find real-time cricket scores and analysis?

You can follow official sports apps, news websites, or social media hashtags like #TeamIndia and #CricketLover for live updates and expert breakdowns of the game.

Is This the Best Tennis Shot Ever? 🤯 | Amazing Rally Highlights

Is This the Best Tennis Shot Ever? 🤯 Amazing Rally Highlights and Tennis Scores

For tennis enthusiasts in India, the thrill of a 120mph ace is great, but nothing beats the adrenaline of an extended, logic-defying rally. From the clay courts of Roland Garros to the grass of Wimbledon, the sport has witnessed moments that make us ask: “Is this the best tennis shot ever?”

The Magic of the “Impossible” Shot

Tennis is a game of angles, physics, and sheer willpower. Whether it’s Roger Federer’s flick-of-the-wrist passing shots, Rafael Nadal’s “banana shots” that curve around the net post, or Novak Djokovic’s sliding defensive retrievals, some points feel scripted for a movie.

Recently, viral highlights have showcased rallies where players return overhead smashes from their knees or hit “tweener” (between-the-legs) lobs that land perfectly on the baseline. These moments aren’t just about luck; they are a result of world-class athleticism and split-second decision-making. For Indian fans who grew up watching Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi dominate the net, the appreciation for such technical mastery is deep-rooted.

How to Stay Updated with Live Tennis Scores in India

With the ATP and WTA tours moving across different time zones, keeping track of tennis scores can be a challenge for fans in India. Whether you are following Sumit Nagal on the Challenger circuit or tracking Rohan Bopanna’s doubles masterclasses, having real-time data is essential.

  • Live Score Apps: Platforms like Flashscore and the ATP/WTA official apps provide ball-by-ball updates.
  • Broadcasting: In India, Sony Sports Network and Disney+ Hotstar are the primary hubs for major Grand Slams and Masters 1000 events.
  • Social Media Highlights: If you missed the live action, platforms like YouTube and X (formerly Twitter) are the best places to find those “Shot of the Century” clips immediately after they happen.

What Makes a Rally “The Best”?

A truly legendary rally usually contains three key elements:

  1. Defensive Resilience: When a player returns three consecutive shots that should have been winners.
  2. Court Coverage: Seeing a player sprint from one corner to the other, covering nearly 27 feet in seconds.
  3. The Finisher: A shot that defies the laws of geometry, like a cross-court short angle or a disguised drop shot.

Conclusion

The debate over the “Best Tennis Shot Ever” will likely never end, as every season brings a new contender. However, these highlights serve as a reminder of why we love the sport. For Indian fans, the growth of tennis in the country, combined with easy access to live tennis scores and viral highlights, makes this an exciting era to follow the game. Whether it’s Carlos Alcaraz’s speed or Jannik Sinner’s power, the next “impossible” shot is always just one rally away.

Tennis Rules Explained: Scoring, Gameplay & Key Terms (Beginner’s Guide)

Tennis Rules Explained: Scoring, Gameplay & Key Terms (Beginner’s Guide)

Tennis is one of the most popular individual sports in India, thanks to legends like Leander Paes, Sania Mirza, and Rohan Bopanna. Whether you are picking up a racket at your local club or watching Wimbledon on TV, understanding the unique tennis scores and rules is essential. This guide breaks down the basics for every beginner.

The Tennis Scoring System: Beyond Numbers

The most confusing part for newcomers is often the scoring. Tennis doesn’t use 1, 2, 3, or 4. Instead, it follows a traditional sequence:

  • 0 Points: “Love”
  • 1st Point: 15
  • 2nd Point: 30
  • 3rd Point: 40
  • 4th Point: Game

If both players reach 40-40, it is called a Deuce. To win from a deuce, a player must win two consecutive points: the “Advantage” point followed by the winning point. If the player with the advantage loses the next point, the score returns to deuce.

Sets and Matches

To win a match, you must win sets, and to win sets, you must win games. In most professional formats (and local tournaments in India):

  • A Set is won by the first player to win 6 games, with a lead of at least two games.
  • If the set score reaches 6-6, a Tie-break is played to determine the winner of the set.
  • Matches are usually “Best of Three” sets for women and most ATP events. In Grand Slams, men play “Best of Five.”

Gameplay: How the Game Starts

Every point starts with a Serve. The server stands behind the baseline and must hit the ball into the diagonally opposite service box. Players get two attempts (First Serve and Second Serve). If the ball hits the net but lands in the correct box, it is a “Let” and the serve is retaken.

Once the serve is in, the Rally begins. Players must hit the ball over the net and within the boundaries of the court. In singles, the narrower “inner” lines are used; in doubles, the wider “alleys” are included.

Key Tennis Terms to Know

  • Ace: A legal serve that the receiver does not touch.
  • Fault: A failed serve (hitting the net or landing outside the service box).
  • Double Fault: Missing both serves, resulting in a point for the opponent.
  • Volley: Hitting the ball before it touches the ground.
  • Break Point: A situation where the receiver is one point away from winning a game against the server.

Conclusion

Understanding tennis rules might seem daunting at first due to terms like “Love” and “Deuce,” but once you get the hang of the 15-30-40 rhythm, the game becomes incredibly addictive. Tennis is a fantastic way to stay fit and develop mental discipline. Now that you know the basics, grab a racket and head to the nearest court!

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. Why is zero called “Love” in tennis?

While the exact origin is debated, many believe it comes from the French word “l’oeuf,” meaning “the egg,” representing the shape of a zero.

2. What happens if the ball hits the line?

In tennis, the lines are considered part of the court. If any part of the ball touches the white line, it is “In.”

3. How long does a typical tennis match last?

A standard best-of-three-sets match usually lasts between 90 minutes to 2 hours, though professional matches can go much longer.

4. Can I play doubles on a singles court?

Yes, but you must use the outer “doubles alleys” to ensure the court is wide enough for four players.

Rohit Sharma Style Pull Shot Challenge 🏏🇮🇳 #cricket #shorts #viral

Master the Rohit Sharma Style Pull Shot Challenge: Bat Like the Hitman 🏏🇮🇳

In the world of modern cricket, few sights are as majestic as Rohit Sharma picking up a short-pitched delivery and sending it sailing over the deep square-leg boundary. Known as the ‘Hitman,’ Rohit’s pull shot is a perfect blend of timing, balance, and effortless power. Recently, the #RohitSharmaPullShotChallenge has taken social media by storm, with thousands of aspiring Indian cricketers trying to replicate his signature move.

Why the Rohit Sharma Pull Shot is Special

Unlike many batsmen who hurry their shots against pace, Rohit Sharma seems to have an extra second to play. His pull shot is unique because he often plays it with his front foot slightly cleared or even from a neutral position, rather than moving deep into the crease. This allows him to hit the ball while it’s still in front of his eyes, ensuring maximum control and minimizing the risk of a top edge.

How to Take the Pull Shot Challenge

If you want to go #viral with your cricket #shorts, you need to nail the technique. Here is a step-by-step guide to mastering the Hitman’s favorite stroke:

  • Watch the Length Early: The key to Rohit’s success is early identification. As soon as the bowler drops it short, your weight should start shifting.
  • The High Backlift: Keep your hands high. Rohit uses a high backlift which generates the “whip” action needed to clear the ropes.
  • Eye on the Ball: Never take your eyes off the leather. Roll your wrists at the point of contact if you want to keep the ball grounded, or extend through the line to loft it for a six.
  • Balance: Notice how Rohit’s head remains still. Even when he’s pulling a 145kmph delivery, his base is stable.

Join the Viral Movement

Cricket in India is more than just a sport; it’s an emotion. With platforms like YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels, the Rohit Sharma Style Pull Shot Challenge is helping local talent showcase their skills. Whether you are playing with a leather ball on a turf pitch or a tennis ball in a gully, the elegance of the pull shot remains the ultimate test of a batsman’s bravery and skill.

Are you ready to be the next Hitman?

Record your best pull shot, use the hashtags #cricket #shorts #viral #RohitSharma and show the world your talent!

Conclusion

Mastering the Rohit Sharma style pull shot requires hours of practice and immense confidence. It is a shot that says the batsman is in total control of the game. By focusing on your balance and timing rather than brute force, you can replicate the grace of India’s captain. So, grab your bat, head to the nets, and take on the challenge today!

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. What is the main secret behind Rohit Sharma’s pull shot?

The secret is his extra half-second of timing. Rohit picks the length of the ball faster than most players, allowing him to get into position early without rushing.

2. Is the pull shot risky in leather ball cricket?

It can be risky if your timing is off, leading to a top edge. However, by rolling your wrists at the point of contact, you can keep the ball on the ground and reduce the risk.

3. Can I practice this shot with a tennis ball?

Absolutely! Most Indian cricketers start their journey with tennis ball cricket. Practice against “short-arm jabs” to build the muscle memory needed for the actual pull shot.

4. Who has the best pull shot in the Indian team currently?

While legends like Ricky Ponting were masters of it, in the current Indian setup, Rohit Sharma is undisputed. Players like Shreyas Iyer and Hardik Pandya also possess strong pull shots.

Manchester City rumour can be shot down – Player back in squad after mysterious absence

Anyone who may have gotten excited about Wesley imminently arriving at Manchester City can calm themselves down.

Why? Because he’s back in the Roma squad for their clash with Sassuolo. That’s according to Inside Roma, who say he’s managed to shake off the flu.

That same bout of flu had caused plenty of transfer speculation this week. A report yesterday, from Globo Esporte, stated that Manchester City had been in direct contact about a move to the Etihad for the Brazilian this month. They were backing up reports from England about the defender being of interest to Pep Guardiola.

That report from Brazil indicated that Manchester City had been following the defender for months. His performances at Roma have apparently convinced them they were right to look at him.

Then Wesley’s absence from the Roma squad caused plenty of raised eyebrows. Gian Piero Gasperini insisted it was flu and nothing more. But the timing was certainly curious, and healthy fuel for the transfer rumour flames.

Now they can be dismissed. Inside Roma report he’s back in the squad and the flu has been fought off. That should pour enough cold water on the Manchester City rumours for the time being.
